Marcedes Lewis signing would be an indication to me they aren't 100% confident in their Ts and would like to provide help with one of the better blocking TEs in the nfl

I mean everyone knew they needed one regardless. I wouldn’t be reading into a guy signed to a one year 2 mil deal

Idk that lewis is washed. He is certainly old. But he's always been a blocker and as far as I've seen can still block. Plus he's cheap. The Graham signing was terrible

Yeah I was just mentioning in the context of signing "on-their-last-leg" Green Bay TE castoffs.

Mercedes Lewis is a good blocker still. 4th best TE blocker. Use him when you can and need to block for Fields and a decoy to make them think it’s a pass play but it’s a run, opposite side of Lewis.

How am I underestimating him? I’ve been advocating for him to start and he’s one of my favorite players on D. I said it’s unlikely for Sewell to start, but it’s still a possibility.
