As someone who basically stopped toking after college (a few benders aside), I’ve really liked the edible gummies available at the legal pot stores. No smoke smell, no glazed eyes, no anxiety, I pop 2-3 in before putting the kid to bed at night and an hour 20 minutes later I can barely spell my own name. Wake up without the “weed hangover” I would get from smoking the stuff. Big fan of this, my closest pot shop is in the north burbs and assuming I go at opening there is rarely more than a 5-10 minute wait. Took the wife with me there the other day and there’s a good breakfast place we stopped at on way home, would recommend.

From an economic and cost-efficiency perspective, you might consider a tub of cannabutter ($85). Purchase brownie and/or cookie mix and bake away (see what I did there?). That $85 investment yields 200 doses at 10mg/dose, or less than a nickel per dose.

It was coconut oil. Had to heat it every time you wanted any. Was a PIA. Will use olive oil if I ever do it again. Threw it away because I have plenty of pot to make butter and oil. In fact I still have a pound of butter in the freezer which would make about 120 cookies.
I have plenty to mess with.

I processed most of my flower into coconut oil as well, and yes it needs to be heated but that's fine as part of a brownie/cookie/chocolate baking project which one of my kids does for me. The remainder of the flower we infused into olive oil and I occasionally ingest it via tincture drops.
