I don't use clones. I buy feminized seeds and start from scratch. Very seldom does a seed not sprout. I leave them in gallon fabric pots until I top the first time and then transplant into the ground. Usually 4-6 weeks. I dig huge holes and fill with my own mix of soil so they don't need nutes for at least the first month or so.

Well I watched a dozen you tube videos which basically just confused me even more. I took an ounce of older WW i had and used 99% alcohol on it. mashed it around a bit and then strained it into a large baking dish. Because I am to chicken to try and burn off alcohol on my gas stove I set it out in the sun and waited for it to evap. Once evaperated I had a dark brown residue on the dish. I scraped that out and then I heated a cup of coconut oil and mixed them together until they blended. Mine just came out wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy darker than the oils you see at the dispensaries.

The other recipes I found take 60 days and I am much to impatient for that. I am thinking of making it like I do my butter just using coconut oil instead of butter.

That isn't worth the effort. Just buy a high CBD/low THC strain seed and grow him a plant of his own. My buddy did that for his mother that had cancer. It would still get her a little high, but she could take the oil he made her without getting totally blitzed.
I think he said it was a 1 to 1 plant with something like 10% THC.
Either that or just grow him a straight up hemp plant.
Either way, RIP to my buddies mother.

Was the alcohol warm or nah? How long did you soak? The good news about alcohol is that it extracts very well. The bad news is that it extracts very well.
It's dark because it has chlorophyll, fats, lipids, waxes, etc. These are usually refined out or avoided altogether. I'd wager you pulled about 2-3 grams of THC out of the 1oz. Maybe. Might have some CBN (not CBD) in there because it's old, and heat and UV may have converted some of the THC. But disclaimer, short of testing it you really can't know. So beware when sampling.....

Well cooking is easy. It's just going to be high THC, not CBD, simply because the plants you grow are high THC not CBD plants.

I don't have any plants to show off, but my wife has really taken on a passion for making edibles here at home. Our pantry is getting pretty nice looking these days. I posted earlier about making THC infused pizzas for tomorrow's NFL Opener. That all started with my wife making me some infused olive oil.
Did two cups of oil with each cup coming in at about 1200-1300mg of THC. For those pizzas...I use a 1/4 cup for two pies...so about 160mg per pizza or 20mg per slice. Not for beginners.
(the advance class coming over for the game is getting a butter crust that will probably kick that closer to 25mg per slice)
One tablespoon lumps of cannibutter. 10mg each. Kept in the freezer until needed.
Agave & coconut oil.
Honestly not sure about the agave, but the coconut oil is an even 1000mg per cup. She usually does two cups at a time and is a really good base for just about any edible treat you wish to make yourself.
The nice thing about going this route is it makes really good use out of some of your lesser quality strains. This whole pantry was made from very average 8% per gram "schwag" buds. A perfect solution for home growers that don't want to put in the effort to grow stickiest of the ickiest.
Will check back in with some shots of some actual edibles another time. Anyone else getting all magical in the kitchen???
