some portions of the bill:

- Can purchase up to two ounces of flower or 800 milligrams of edibles daily.
- Can possess up to two ounces in public
- Can possess larger amounts in your home so long as it is kept out of public view. There really isn't any detail on this so I am assuming at this point you can have pounds if you want so long as it is locked away in a closet or something like that.
- Can grow up to 6 mature and six immature plants.
- In households with more than one adult the plant limit doubles to 12 mature and 12 immature plants, but that is the cap no matter how many adults live in the house.
- No smoking in public but they are going to allow smoking lounges for consumption outside the home. The fine is 50$ for smoking in public.

Having more than the possession limit in MI and IL is for homegrown, known as keep what you grow. I think MI's is limited to 10lbs. IL's is unlimited but you "can't" buy from a dispensary if you have 5lbs in your safe and want to buy your 2.5oz/2 weeks purchase limit (meanwhile recreational can buy 30g a day).
That's probably what can possess larger amounts at home is about.

Some states with homegrow still have their 1oz limit which is impossible to predict accurately, or really grow that little. At some point you're going to have more than 1oz, especially if cops do their usual and weigh the whole wet plant with roots and dirt.

Not only do I get 8oz of buds from my single plant in a small box, 2oz of trim is also normal for me.

That looks like a very good deal on homegrowing. 6+6 with a mature designation is great. We have 5 over 5", there is no variety that you can take clones of before flower, flip and have it harvested before the clones are 5". The only way that would work is to give up one as a mother, grow 2, clone 2 a few weeks before harvest so it's not really saving time. I do the same thing with seeds when I'm feeling it.

When does your Gov usually sign bills?
" Beginning 90 days after the Governor signs the bill, adults age 21 and over can keep up to six mature and six immature plants in their home, according to the law."

Are you going to have pictures those quick budding varieties ready to pick 120 days after he signs? ?

There were a lot of those in IL medical grow group the day it went into effect. I didn't although I was all set up and even found some seeds before ours went into effect. I don't think I was feeling good (and killed the above seeds when I did try them). I started mine about a month after it was legal.

She already signed the bill, usually within a month after it passes a state house she signs vetos or declines to sign.

I am not planning to grow anything at this time.

Wow....that is much more lax than Ca. We can only grow 6 plants period. And can not have more than an ounce in public.

I thought you could only grow 4. If we had 6 I'd be more willing to have a mother. 6+6, oh hell yeah, I'd be a cloning fool then.

I've seen patients complain because they could only possess 2.5oz but our real possession problem is the dumbass wording on transportation. Basically you can't go to a dispensary and drive home with it. You can use an odor proof pouch but the law doesn't say it requires that, and with covid dispensaries have stopped allowing you to bring those in.
Then if you go to a friend's with your 8th you can't bring it back home. Even though they changed the wording to remove "tamper evident" the cops treat it like they didn't.

I have a friend who is a police officer in Illinois and he explained the whole transport thing to me and I was rather shocked how stupid that part of the law is.

Basically as I understand it if you open the sealed package and then transport it again you are breaking the law. So you are telling me that I cannot go home, open the package, smoke a bowl and go to bed, wake up the next day and drive to see my GF with that same cannabis without breaking the law.

Really stupid.

To me it seems like a pretty well written law. I read most of it before they started messing around with it to make is passable and it seems like they improved on the original writing with some minor things.

I think the intent is to have a law that isn't going to need much modification now that it is passed.

As you know I grow pepper plants, but if I ever wanted to grow some cannabis here it is nice to know that I could have a mother plant and just clone off of it for a steady/quicker supply. I am pretty sure the definition of mature plant is one with flowers on it, so even if you had a big ass mother so long as it wasn't flowering you could grow it as large as you wanted and count is as part of you 6 immature plant count. Really though, being honest, I have seen how much cannabis you can get off of a single plant. It is far more than one person can consume before they have another plant finished. The thing about that is, you could grow a couple of times a year with multiple plants and then not have to worry about maintaining a constant grow.

Thankfully at this point one lot is empty and the other is being rehabbed for a rental. Regardless.....I have the neighbor from hell that lives directly across the street. She is universally despised but could care less. Mrs Kravitz. My other neighbors are friends who don't care but appreciate a jar now and then just like they leave me eggs....lol. Nothing better than fresh laid eggs. Especially if you are a yolk expert like myself.

Unless he told you that before our legalization was signed, I think August 2019, he is wrong. That was the law before. But tamper evident was removed and sealed only means closed (the tamper evident stickers weren't govt tax seals like on liquor bottles).
The only legal containers are specifically dispensary containers. But there's also an odor part (which cops lie about smelling it) and dispensary jars are not odor proof so even the only legal containers aren't legal.

Before technically all you really had to do was buy a bunch of tamper evident stickers or bags from Amazon and keep it out of the passenger compartment (they allow you to bring wine home from dinner theater like that).
But in a sense yes it was exactly like that when it was medical only.
Worse, if you go to your GF's and leave the rest of the jar you just delivered. Even if she had her own medical card she couldn't have your weed.

I don't think clones are any faster although the internet says they are. I've been doing seeds 4 week veg and flip. Most of mine have been mature enough to sex by 4 weeks and cuttings do carry that age with them so you could flower smaller.

A cutting is going to take at least a week to root. Then you'll need to grow roots. I haven't experience those weeks being any shorter than sprouting a seed.
I think because people who clone have a flower tent and a veg tent they're not measuring time right. I use a veg tent for seeds sometimes and have gone straight from harvest to flip too.
Cuttings are really for preserving a plant you really like or not having to buy seeds for outrageous prices.

I know someone with a medical card I'm trying to get growing. I bet she could use every bit of the 5 plants growing for maximum production. At the 420 Christmas this year (last old family member died) she was constantly smoking joints and hitting vaporizer concentrates and dabbing.
I take one puff high CBD flower and I'm good for hours.

I'm not seeing pistils that look like they're pollinated on either the forced but unwilling male or the female but I am getting pollen. I was getting worried, a lot of bananas that aren't making pollen. And mold is setting in, I don't want to spray until I see seeds forming - the pH turns pistils orange which I'm guessing makes them no longer function, and I don't want to turn on a fan until I cut the male flowers out or harvest the other one.

No mold on the one for buds with just one spray. It's starting to look very close and by time has 2.5 weeks left.

But this one is different. It's my favorite variety, one I could inhale all day and be functional. And it's seeming like the only reliable official breeder source won't be sending it to the US any time soon.
