If you are a mmj patient in IL and haven't yet you should probably register with the new system. I say probably because I can't be sure if it's working right. It worked for me, and I got the email telling me how to do it.
If you didn't get any of the emails tell me and I'll dig through mine to find the link and the temporary password.
If you're totally in the dark, IDPH screwed the pooch transferring to a new system. People tried, and couldn't log in, or they did and then trying to change dispensaries messed up. Either way they were locked out.
IDPH's first answer was you can go to recreational. That was quickly retracted and now for the time being (I think) we can (still) go to any MEDICAL dispensary in the state and be tracked under the old system without registering to change dispensaries.
What's funny is this has been the system since medical was passed and we were told it wouldn't support tracking us in more than one dispensary. They are admitting we could've gone to any medical dispensary from the start. IDPH has once again proven they have been nothing but hostile towards MMJ and it wasn't all Rauner's doing.
In other news the illegal transportation is hopefully fixed now. Although they didn't change the definition of "medical cannabis container" like they did for "cannabis container" so patients may still be tied to dispensary jars.
Time will tell how the cops and SAs can twist the wording of resealable like they ignored removing the words tamper evident seal (to treat "sealed" like it was in the alcohol law to mean a tax stamp).
I haven't heard anything about the rebate from IDPH getting rich from medical patients. I'm guessing that was removed before it was passed.
