Please explain "caregivers" and what is going on in layman's terms. I am not in the midwest.

MI "caregivers" are people you assign your homegrow allotment to. I think OR and/or WA and CO have similar.

IL caregivers are people you put on your license who can buy and administer for you. I think they should have a different name for the designated growers.

And what sucks is we paved the way and took the biggest risks federally and opened many doors no one had the stomach to risk to get marijuana where it’s at today. Now the big money fucks want us out of the game.

Wait till it is legal on the federal level and watch the tobacco companies smash everyone.

I'm sure big corporations will try and the govt is all about protecting big corporations but we have a lot of precedence about making stuff for personal use.
They'd have a hard time claiming corporations can grow it for recreational sales but people can't grow a few plants at home.

I hope that's the case, but it would mean less tax money and they will fight it hard.

That's the beauty of it, there's proof it does the opposite of that. Homebrewing wasn't legal until Carter. Homebrewing drove the craft beer boom. I hated beer until homebrewing, after that I was buying craft beers and imported beers to try them.
Vegetable gardening got me to buy vegetables I'd have never tried. I may not buy asparagus in the spring but if I want it now I'd buy it. I wouldn't have known I liked it if I never grew it.
I may not buy wine because I barely drink my homemade, but I've been given plenty of wine to try.
There's plenty of proof that the American way of allowing making your own for personal use does not hurt business and even drives it, besides the additional business of the supplies for home made.

If IL cultivators/dispensaries would get their pricing in line I'd go there to try stuff if they'd get something I'd like.
With dispensary prices I wasn't going to get any tolerance. Because homegrown made it affordable a candy bar that would last me 16 doses will now last me 4-8.

@truthbedamned when do your outdoor plants typically come down?

I am noticing that my tomatoes and chiles etc are hitting that last fruit push, made me wonder how your outdoor plants were doing and when they will finally get harvested. Just looking for some flower porn updates honestly.

It has to be hard to wait a whole season for one crop. I am eating veggies all summer, but as soon as the heat breaks they go nuts and I have to start canning/making sauces/pickling etc.

Should be ready mid October. I have come to the conclusion that my "greenhouse" is really just a white fabric garage with a door because both years I have grown in it the plants never got over 5 foot tall and extremely thin. The buds look really good but I figure I am not going to get more than a pound from 4 plants which is horrible. Next spring the top gets removed and replaced by panels or I just blatantly grow outside in my flower bed.

Just started four amnesia haze autos in my tents to try and make up for the loss from the outdoor plants.

Croptober is so annoying on the internet:
I think I have bud rot.
You're not showing anything that looks like mold. Mold is white and looks like cotton. It turns grey when it's throwing spores.
But here's the brown dead plant matter.
That's not white or cottony. That's dead plant matter. It might be because of mold, it might attract mold, but you're not showing any pictures of mold.
But...
It just goes on and on because they can't accept there's a problem other than botrytis. Then instead of harvesting the plant because it's the middle of October and their bud is dying off they keep insisting they have mold until they actually get it.

And then you have idiots saying to throw out the whole plant because of the "brown mold" that is more likely hemp borer frass. Instead of listening to those who know and are showing pictures of actual mold they listen to those who don't then next year they're the ones telling someone else to throw out the whole plant.

It's like people see pictures of moldy half dead buds and can't see any of the white mold and think the half dead bud is the mold.

If they paid attention they would see the portion of the bud dying and they would remove it immediately and stop it from spreading. And bud rot doesn't have to be mold. In most cases it is not.

I agree, cut it off. No matter what it is that's the solution. Why wait for days talking on the internet? It's also the middle of October. If the plant is dying off it's probably time to harvest before you lose the whole harvest.

Bud Rot is Botrytis cinerea. The same mold that gets on strawberries and grapes and decomposes almost all nature.
If it's a borer that's killing the bud it's not bud rot until mold hits it. I think that's where people get confused, borer kills the bud, they spend days debating, mold hits the dead stuff.
But on an otherwise healthy bud that suddenly gets squishy the mold is in there and it's killing the bud so it has more to live on the mold is there it just hasn't come out to the outside yet.
I had that on one I was pruning to get it to go a little longer.

Guys are to busy looking for the right amber to milky trichromes. They end up waiting to long and end up losing an entire plant. I had a plant I waited to long on and half of it died in one day. When they decide to go it is like right now. If the seed information says mid October that doesn't mean it will be better the first week in November.

Started 2 free Head Cheese seeds, had 3. Spouse died. I didn't get around to keeping them wet, 2 seeds died. Tried the 3rd. It sprouted but didn't grow much. I finally got around to putting it in hydro and it took off.
When I chopped it for training I couldn't see anything but I'm getting a good female feeling about it.
If I grow yet another female from regular seeds (100% of the seeds that lived have been female) I think I've found my lottery (I'm lucky to get free tickets with scratchers).

Pretty sure it's female. Looks like a pistil to me. I have yet to get a natural male from regular seeds.2021-10-26-20-20-41.png

That was a male. Wasted month. Have 2 Raspberry Crisp freebees from AlphaKroniK now. Also going to convert a closet soon so I should be able to have 2 at a time. Going from 2x2 to 3x2 but the main thing is from a 4' box to 8' ceilings.

I also just got an email saying I won a Seedsman contest. Allegedly 25 seeds. If true I get:
A cheese is the above male, I've heard good things about them and Crohn's. I'm not sure about autos but Durban Poison and Northern LIghts are favorites.
  • 00 Seeds – 00 Cheese Auto Feminised – 5 seeds
  • Barney's Farm Seeds – LSD Feminised – 3 seeds
  • Dutch Passion – Durban Poison Feminised – 5 seeds
  • FastBuds Seeds – Pineapple Express Auto Feminised – 3 seeds
  • Royal Queen Seeds – Northern Light Auto Feminised – 3 seeds
  • Seedsman – Doctor Seedsman CBD 30:1 Feminised – 3 seeds
  • Seedsman – Amnesia Auto Feminised – 3 seeds

New closet. The one on the right was hermed but seems to have only been the preflower level. It's also noticeably frostier than the pure female. I haven't seen any but I'm sure there will be seeds. Hopefully since the pollen was early and it doesn't seem to be putting out any more male flowers any seeds will be in the trim.

I moved my $49 Bloomspect veg light into the box so I'll be able to veg easier than on the shelf. I also have plans to flower with it just to see how it will do for those looking for cheap grow ideas. I know it's not Samsung horticulture diodes but it is Samsung. Other than heat it did OK with the free sex seed experiment.

I turned the free sex QP into FECO and it had a lot of immature seeds floating. It was also way more potent than I estimated so I'm thinking seeds doesn't necessarily hurt the THC levels like the internet fears claim. But deseeding today's sticky weed is a bigger pain than it used to be.

I was going to suggest adding "official" to the title, see it's already there :ROFLMAO:IMG_3386.png
