Nah I think you forgetting how Shaheen was a freak athlete too. Graham has delivered obviously in the past but he is older and slower now so we shall see.

Yes folks he has done it. Compared Shaheen to Jimmy Graham.

Let me help you Remy.

"I was really down on the Graham signing due to his age and the money. Maybe I was wrong."

How tall is Shaheen?

See where I am going with this?
6'6" - a full inch too short for height to count as separation :)

He ran with all the grace of a baby giraffe when the ball was in his hands. And he played like a pussy. And he was fragile. It's a way different situation than a ten-year veteran who has put together a few great years and several solid ones. You can trust Graham to make tough catches. You couldn't trust Shaheen to chew through a tough steak.

You seem confused. There is no point me making that statement at this point when we can just watch the season and find out the truth.

Graham has done nothing to change anyone's mind because none of us have actually seen him in action. So if you were fine with the signing you should still be fine. If you thought it was questionable you should still think that. Time will tell who was right.

My point is you had people proclaiming him baby Gronk without justification and now you have people annointing Graham based on TC rumors.

How about we just wait and see how he actually performs when it matters. Mayne he is still good or maybe his age will show more. I dont know.

Hoge and Jahns aren't homers. They just aren't selling the despair some fans are looking for. IMO they've had a realistic view of the roster all offseason.

Earlier this week, they were talking about Patterson's comments about Mitch. They covered both sides of his statement. Why didn't he see Mitch as the guy last season? Did anything really change? It was good objective take on the pod.
Nah it’s becoming more and more clear that one of them have an inside source connected to Ryan Pace. Even the bears Reddit which is pretty homerish too has noticed it.

I have it scored 2-1 Trubisky. But I still don't know if that's enough for him to win the job, IMO.
At the beginning of camp, they talked about a scoring system they are using for practice. I believe if was DeFilippo. Do you know any specifics on how they are grading?

Shaheen being a freak athlete is another long perpetuated fallacy. For the average human yes, for an NFL TE not really. Sure he is big but at the combine he was 12th of 15 in the 40, 10th of 17 in vert, 7th of 10 in three cone. Bucky Hodges and OJ Howard were the other 6'6" TE at the combine, though lighter, they finished 5th, 1st, NA and 2nd, 12th ,1st respectively.

Looking at him and watching Shaheen play for a few minutes and the descriptor freak athlete would never enter anyones mind.

True. And drafting a player from a small school who played against weak competition and who had marginal numbers at the combine with a second round pick made no sense. Maybe worth a fourth round or lower gamble.

That was the narrative at the time as I hated the Shaheen pick and spent a lot of time arguing with the Baby Gronk crowd.

Although you are ignoring his size relative to 40 time.

As this points out his weight would have made him 2nd biggest TE and his weight adjusted 40 time ranked 26th out of 243 prospects.

It is obvious that never panned out but Bears fans and scouts were fawning over his speed relative to his size.

It would be great if Trubisky was better about throwing the ball away. I know that he thinks he can do something on every play, but that's just not the case in the NFL. Live to play another down. You lil mole-eyed dummy!

They should start Mitch.

There is no upside to Foles. Foles is accepting and 8-8 season

Mitch is starting game 1.

No preseason, the offensive personal seems to be rooting for him as well.

Plus, it's the lions. If there is one team you're confident about mitch playing it's them.
Are you fairly certain about that?

Going to Foles week 1 would be such a lame move.

He isn’t very good. It would be capping what we can do this season
