Maybe you can just walk out from your job tomorrow in protest or are you not privileged?
My skills are replaceable, a professional athlete’s are not so easily replaced. They are people first and athletes second. People love to call out the rioting and looting but as soon as they find a way to peacefully protest that interferes with your ENTERTAINMENT there’s a problem. Who’s the entitled one here?

So these players can only protest by canceling practice which this team deaperately needs? I thought they were able to clock out and use whatever social media platform they wanted or in person?

Once again your focus is on football. Which is purely entertainment. Have you ever stopped to consider that people being murdered might be slightly more important to these players than a game? And for the record much of what I have seen indicates they used the practice time to come up with a plan on how to protest as a team and show unity. And who are you, or anybody else, to tell somebody how to peacefully protest? It seems like the narrative is becoming don’t riot or loot but peacefully protest in a way that doesn’t interfere with my life and I approve of. The whole point of this is to make it an issue for everybody and this is the way they see fit.

It is so important they are usjng their own time to go out and protest? I have not seen that. I thought they were just doing it on their employer's dime.

I watched the youtube clip of the protesters lighting that whole Kenosha dealership car lot on fire, crazy. Slew of cars all burning, some nice cars there too, ugh

It appears it is only more important when they are supposed to be working and getting paid, once they are off the clock, being home with their families is more important.
No shit. Nobody tunes in to watch them play wife or father for their families. People watch them and cheer for them when they play football for the Bears. Like I said you’re more concerned with your entertainment than the police killing people. That’s not the same for these players who probably realize that could be them being shot 7 times in the back if they weren’t professional athletes.

No. That is not what I said. I said they could be out protesting or using their vpice off the clock, the majority are not. The police killing people only matters when they are on the clock.

you must not remember the replacement players, people watched....everyone is replaceable, what do you think the draft is?

No. That is what you said. That is why you’re upset they took a practice off to protest. And how do you know they wouldn’t be protesting if they couldn’t put themselves at risk for COVID during a protest? Plenty of athletes protested for George Floyd’s death.

Go ahead and tell the McCaskeys they should replace Khalil Mack with some scrub off the street then. It’s that easy right? And by the way at the time those players are getting drafted they are professional athletes too right? Like you understand that very basic fact?

What I meant was we are talking sports.... in which athletes get paid millions of dollars .
..if they want to protest let them....we do not need sports right now..we need change be the change.

All good.

It's good everyone carries around pocket cameras/video these days on their phones. Those Kenosha cops don't wear body cameras and the shooting was taped what looked to be across the street by a neighbor and he had the perfect angle too.

I think John Fox & Vic Fangio were more responsible for building up & developing the defense. Besides many Bears GMs have put together a defense with no offense. Pace is a typical Bears type GM, nothing special.

its funny you say that...the last 4 bears gm's...pace, emery, angelo and hatley cover the last 23 years. Its fine to give credit to head coaches for developing players but that ultimately is on the GM as well for making the hire...
pace 3/5 years with a top 10 defense in PA's
emery 1/3 years with a top 10 defense in PA's
angelo 4/11 years with a top 10 defense in PA's
hatley 0/4 years with a top 10 defense in PA's

Many Bears GM's putting together a quality defense refers to the 80's dominance or back in the halas days...

It's crazy that every police officer does not have a body cam. I'd think it benefits everyone, officers included.

5% of any profession are awful.

The thing that gets me is that police and police unions will defend the shitty cops tooth and nail.

I am a teacher. You won’t hear me defend some pedo teacher. I want them out of the profession and in jail.
