I banned him a couple days ago for 1 day stating that if he didn't cut it out, he'd be banned for 1 week.

He didn't cut it out, and actually got worse. SP1994 may not line up with some people's opinions but his entire forum existence doesn't revolve around spouting off at the mouth with accusations. BMR31 can **** the hell off.
I didn't really pay him any attention, but what was he doing?

Just look at his recent posts. After being warned multiple times in PM, being asked multiple times to let up, he insisted on only posting about SP1994 and accusing him of having many names. I have had several PM exchanges asking him to cut it out before I banned him...he listened 0.

Oh, gotcha. Yeah that isn't cool. I have my suspicions of SP1994 and the multiple accounts thing, but I never said anything publicly.

I just want to say once and for all, I have never ever ever ever used another account on this forum...EVER.................I have more respect for this forum that people may think........I have great respect for the mods here as well, especially Rush.....My sports related opinions differ from others, but I believe in them just like everyone else that posts there opinions. Hinestly, I don't see why anyone would think I use multiple screennames, but BMR31 has shoved that theory down everyones throats for months now...I used to post on espn regularly for 2 years and BMR31 posted about nothing else there either...He followed me to this site he is so obsessed and desperate for my attention...Its very sick....His biggest mistake was disrespecting Rush.. :admin: .. that was a no no and he basically commited messageboard suicide...R.I.P bmr31......the funeral will be held this week sometime but I don't think anyone will show up...LMAO....I hope the maggots infest his cheap coffin..........................This board has been very fair with me and everyone else.....Plus CCS is the only Bulls forum on the whole internet with a breath of life left, Lockout or no lockout..........CCS for life, beeeeeeeyotch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought rush informing us was a message for us to knock of going off topic

This is the off topic argument thread.....that's the reason for this thread....Thank You RamitheBullsfan....Even though I disagree with Rami 80% of the time on his basketball related opinions, I respect the hell out of Rami for caring for this forum...He would make a fair mod someday...he has my vote...

It seems to me you feel pippen didn't deserve the dpoy due to philosophy. So I have another question for you. Did jordan, payton, artest, and cooper deserve the dpoy the years they won it?

I think Ben Wallace probably deserved it when Artest won it.

It's harder for me to lay claims in seasons that I didn't watch much basketball because I was an infant/toddler. But generally, big men are going to be ahead of much of the pack when it comes to being great defensive players. And that is simply because their role on defense is the most important.

Pippen is the undisputed king of defense at his position. I never said otherwise.

That is why I defend PiP....I wasn't an infant and saw just about every game in the late 80s and 90s....In 94 Pip saved the Bulls after Jordans retirement....And when The Bulls lost Scott Williams, Cartwright and Horace Grant (the main big guys in there frontline) for the 95 season, Pip single handledly carried the Bulls in every single catagory to keepb them alive....Not many players in history lead there team in every catagory....He was kind of like Oscar Robertson that year......Hakeem also deserved it in 94, but Pip deserved it just as much.........just my opinion based on what I witnessed and according to the solid evidence I have on box fulls of vhs tapes...I used to record all the games.....I could put one on right now and prove my arguments in regards to Pippen...

Generally big men got the consensus vote on awards because it was generally believed that in order for a team to win championships, they needed a dominant big man. Jordan really helped alter that thinking with him leading the Bulls to championships in the 1990s.

Exactly, and Jordan never had a dominate center on any of the championship teams...

Jordan had great interior defenders throughout his championship tenure. Longley was one of the better low-post defenders and shot-blockers in the league. Rodman could defend the low-post extremely well himself.

Cartwright and Grant were both good shot-blockers and low-post defenders.

For someone who is too young to have seen it, you certainly seem knowledged on the subject.....Horace was fun to watch....Sorry you missed out on the greatest era of the Bulls...My condolences young man...

Maybe heff can take a shot at it.

Lol...your argument...and this subject...are just sad...really. I don't even know the point behind this argument...

I'm pretty confident that D Rose will bring this team a few Championships before his career is done, and with how he played last year he will most likely be the second greatest ever. Right now it has to be Scottie Pippen. I think you could easily argue that Pippen is also one of the greatest NBA players in history as well. I know he was in the top 50 list but I think he hovers in the top 10. Guys I think people may put above him, in no particular order. Shaq, Bill Russell, Kareem, Dr. J, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Dominique Wilkins. After that I think that Scottie is right up there with anybody.

I'll take Pippen over Wilkens. And you left out Magic Johnson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James as guys who easily finish in front of Pippen.

The thinking that you needed a dominant big man in order to win a championship was offensively.

Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Walton, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Robert Parish combined to win most of the championships as 1st option scorers for their teams.

Michael Jordan changed the thinking by being a 6'6'' (or under) first option scorer with another 6'7'' perimeter player as his 2nd scoring option.

Jordan is the large exception to the rule. He proved that it is possible to win a championship without a big 6'10+ guy as a 20+ ppg scoring option. That is a testament to Michael's greatness.

Defense is something that is even more needed out of your big man/men than offense in order to win titles.
