So I seen a post on imgur (http://imgur.com/gallery/M3sdqO2) that was a joke but got me thinking
The anti-vaccine movement is fucking Special person. The one paper published showing a link was proven to be not legit. Why are there still believers in the link?
Now that leads me to my real point. Why is it that the populace is just so stubborn in the face of facts? Is it because we have a distrust of our government and therefore anything linked to the government is bad? Is it a piss poor education system that places too much emphasis on standardized testing and not enough on actual learning and critical thinking? Is the lead in the air when the current parents were kids that....well simply made us dumber as a whole? Is it a combination of these things. But why do we just refute fact when evidence is placed right in front of us?
