8-7, sac fly, Soriano robbed of HR (possibly) by Fowler, who was injured in the process.

It could've been tie game had Fowler not jumped.

one game does not necerrasily dictate a pattern

before this game in the last 9 games i think byrd was hitting a bit below .300

i would like to see him be a little more consistent hitting wise like he was in the first half

not a huge concern because even in those last games his hitting was decent...but again consistency is key....

He hasn't gone exactly cold, as he's been getting a hit a game. But, I know what you mean.

Every player goes through this, so there's nothing to worry about. When the Cubs signed him, he was said to be a 4th OF, not a starter. So, I'm fine with what he's doing now.

ya i know.....im not concerned at all and with the cub's offense improving this half....the cubs dont have to rely as much on byrd getting on base consistently...although it certainly helps if he does

even though lee and ramirez are starting to not suck as much as before, i hate having them in the 3,4 spots. lee either strikes out or grounds into a double play and ramirez flies out constantly. they just end rallies and innings early on, in my opinion.

Just keep them there.
