Yes, but it wasn't like he was a lock. Not that I wasn't aware of it, but his early struggle still didn't instill the confidence in him.

Peavy with his issues again, glady Tony Pena is able to keep it in check. Brian Anderson was the tool man... just he couldn't hit, at all.

Players have down years, that doesn't mean that a player is doomed to put up those types of years from there on out. I had a lot of faith that he could have gone back to his usual All-Star self, and he has, because I don't get down on a player because of one down year when previous years suggest he does have All-Star caliber ability.

Three sac flys, a few hit-and-runs, and a Gordon Beckham solo HR? I love these guys!

tubby blows

im over that loss. happens to the best of em, just hope it doesnt linger. it would be nice to replace kotsay

No, it doesn't. The "best of em" have better closers who don't make every outing into a nail biter. The "best of em" don't **** up leads like that because their closer can't get an out and fucks us over and then our CF'er throws one to NOBODY, allowing the winning run to score.

I'm frustrated, but I'm not gullible enough to think that teams have that bad of a series, because the best teams catch the damn ball and play sound, fundamental defense all the time.

As the season continues, I hate Juan Pierre less and less... weird.

Nice to see the Sox rebound tonight after yesterday's blunder.

/steps aside for the "against a terrible team" cries

Still counts.

And they beat a starter that they have never seen before. Gotta love it.
