At 37 years old, quarterback Philip Rivers is on pace to reach 4200 passing yards for the seventh consecutive season...especially with the Chargers rushing attack ranking last in yards per game and per carry. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears secondary has not been as intimidating this season. After leading the league with 27 interceptions in 2018, the Bears only have four after six games...putting them on pace for roughly 12 all season. Having just given up over 500 yards passing in their last two games to the likes of Derek Carr and Teddy Bridgewater, can the Bears keep Rivers' immortal arm in check?
SCOTT QUESSENBERRY & RYAN GROY vs EDDIE GOLDMAN & NICK WILLIAMS
DAVID MONTGOMERY vs MATT NAGY
Coming off of a loss in which the Bears set a franchise low in rushing attempts, Matt Nagy's offense now faces a defense that has only allowed one hundred yards receiving to one player, but is giving up 117 rushing yards per game. No one on the 2019 Chicago Bears has come even close to that rushing number, but with a struggling quarterback under center for the Bears...it sure seems like a great time to try. Can the league's most pass happy play caller burn his play sheet for one week and let the running back that General Manager Ryan Pace gave up extra draft picks to acquire show his new home crowd that he was very much worth it.
