PHILIP RIVERS vs CHICAGO BEAR SECONDARY

At 37 years old, quarterback Philip Rivers is on pace to reach 4200 passing yards for the seventh consecutive season...especially with the Chargers rushing attack ranking last in yards per game and per carry. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears secondary has not been as intimidating this season. After leading the league with 27 interceptions in 2018, the Bears only have four after six games...putting them on pace for roughly 12 all season. Having just given up over 500 yards passing in their last two games to the likes of Derek Carr and Teddy Bridgewater, can the Bears keep Rivers' immortal arm in check?

SCOTT QUESSENBERRY & RYAN GROY vs EDDIE GOLDMAN & NICK WILLIAMS
Three weeks ago, the Chargers lost four-time Pro Bowler Mike Pouncey to injury...only to have his successor go down last Sunday as well. Now faced with starting second year, third string lineman Scott Quessenberry at center...the Chargers will almost have to double team the relentless Goldman. This should leave plenty of space for defensive tackle Nick Williams to build on his four sack and four tackles for a loss season...while hopefully jump starting a suddenly dormant Chicago pass rush.

DAVID MONTGOMERY vs MATT NAGY

Coming off of a loss in which the Bears set a franchise low in rushing attempts, Matt Nagy's offense now faces a defense that has only allowed one hundred yards receiving to one player, but is giving up 117 rushing yards per game. No one on the 2019 Chicago Bears has come even close to that rushing number, but with a struggling quarterback under center for the Bears...it sure seems like a great time to try. Can the league's most pass happy play caller burn his play sheet for one week and let the running back that General Manager Ryan Pace gave up extra draft picks to acquire show his new home crowd that he was very much worth it.

If the Chargers didnt spend all week working on defending the run, they deserve to lose, which I believe they will

I am assuming the Bears suck until they prove otherwise.

16-10 Chargers in an ugly game no one really wants to watch.

I don’t know if people really know the Chargers, they’re not that bad, much better Offense than the Bears, but that’s to be expected. And better passing yard per game against than the Bears, and only 1 spot behind them in total defense!
I think the Chargers have the edge to win the game actually.

That was me last week, and it happened. So I'm past the rage (I took the Saints game hard) and into apathy.
Get well soon man! My man Roquan Smith and you need to get your heads right.

The chargers have the edge because of how bad the bears offense is but if you really think the defenses are that close together, you don’t really know the chargers either.
Your vendetta on the Bears defense is one of the oddest things on this board.

Lol, what vendetta? They’re ranked 10th and 11th, and the Chargers give a lot less yards per game on the air. Those are verifiable stats.

I'm worried about our defense to be honest. If we let Rivers sit back there all day he'll carve us up with deep with Allen and Ekeler. I'm not seeing how our O-line magically gets better with the same players.

I think the D plays well coming out of the tunnel. If the offense looks lost and clueless as to what production is, then I think the D falls apart again and quickly.
