i'm not the one bitching about other people's post while claiming to love talking Bears football.

I love talking Bears football, but I am not going to go out of my way to criticize a potentially mentally disabled poster as being a troll or alt in multiple threads. If you love football, then talk football stop worrying about other posters...just my IMHO.

thanks for your opinion

Can we get back to talking about how useless Long is?

If Long had the surgery on his labrum, would he be out there week 1? If he had the surgery, would he have been able to participate in TC and preseason, thus potentially swaying this team to actually think of him as more than a loud-mouthed bully and granting him a co-captain spot?

"Bears players have selected five co-captains for the 2017 season: quarterback Mike Glennon and guard Josh Sitton on offense, linebacker Jerrell Freeman and safety Quintin Demps on defense, and Sherrick McManis on special teams."

So, they picked the other guard that isn't injured and doesn't fight teammates. Long has lost the team. And, as he tentatively plans his week 1 day off, he's slowly losing the fan base as well. Next is the coaches... this is a development to watch.

Quite the fall from grace as the "face of the franchise"

when was he ever the face of the franchise?
unfortunately, Smokin' Jay Cutler has been the face of the franchise since Urlacher left...which shows how bad the Bears have been

This is probably true... I should rephrase - he has been the "mouth of the franchise"

A thread was started on this two days ago.

I think it is very telling that an offensive lineman who wasn't drafted by the bears was named a captain over Long...I don't think Long has completely lost the team but he definitely needs to step it up this year...more backing up the talk he does so much of

Not a single post was about the Long aspect of this. Which is my concern atm.

I might need those waders back @burque..

It's just odd that you spend so much time worrying about K.Long but nobody else does...well except for Gnat of course but whatever you do Gnat does as well. He's very loyal to you for some reason. Hopefully Long will be fine and keep making those pro bowls that he's made every season in the NFL.

Kyle Long didnt make the probowl in 2016.

Besides, probowls are all about big names. Pretty seldom do they reflect on-field performance, especially for offensive lineman, and doubly-especially for interior offensive linemen.

What a fool Pace was to give an injured guard who flopped at RT that contract.
