Probably not, but 3 of those 5 teams he visited aren't drafting him in round 1 unless they traded back up
He ain’t lasting to round 2

W.J is the better corner of the two as it stands right now. However I'd have to factor in his injury history and Hunter has a bit more upside. I'd slightly lean towards Hunter but would be happy with both.If Travis Hunter was only a CB and not viewed as this CB/WR hybrid, would you draft him over Will Johnson?

Don't tell me who to take! j/kI think you take Banks over him.
Well, of course GMs do some "tactical" visits for draft maneuvering purposes. It sucks for draftees, but it's just part of what they're signing up for. Plus, they know a GM may want to grab them in the future based on a good interview. If you look at the visits ( 2025 NFL Draft visits tracker, updates: Full list of every prospect all 32 teams have brought in for meetings )
it looks like a heavy offense draft and Jeanty is a Bear if he falls to us. I'll be amazed if he does.
I've been ignoring the Bears a lot so I don't know the media hype over the visits but you don't bring that player in if you have a policy of no RB in the first no way. You're not wasting his time for an if he falls to the 2nd round.
I would also think if defense was the top pick there would be more top defense in for visits because there's no sure thing for who lasts until #10.
Seems there's only one possibility for defense at #10.
I think it depends on ownership, and if they are sensible at looking at long-term success over the short term supposed need to take Ward to try to save their jobs.Well Callahan went 3-14 in year 1 and if levis or Brandon Allen is his qb, he'll be fired after year 2. Ward is the only qb in this draft that has talent that could save a HC/GM job. New gm has no commitment to the coach. Real bad situation for Callahan
NO, atl, cincy (unless they plan to use him at G which isn't a good idea and also ignore the glaringly terrible defense)Which 3?
Gm can do whatever they want, it's his first year. The ownership has already shown to be impatient and impulsive. Very few nfl teams have patience with gms/coaches.I think it depends on ownership, and if they are sensible at looking at long-term success over the short term supposed need to take Ward to try to save their jobs.
Ironically, I think trading out and not taking Ward is better for the team’s long-term success.
So yes, the GM should be able to tell ownership that he would rather acquire picks and draft a blue chip player rather than taking a career backup QB like Ward or Sanders (my opinion obviously). Build the team the right way and focus on QB next year.
Now if the GM feels like Ward can be an elite franchise QB, then obviously draft him. But if he thinks that, that would be far more worrisome to me if I was the owner than if he came to me and said he wanted to trade out of the top spot.
OBJ kinda sucks in Cincy. Would assume teams are checking to see if he can play RT too since he was only a LT in collegeNO, atl, cincy (unless they plan to use him at G which isn't a good idea and also ignore the glaringly terrible defense)
That would be an absolutely abysmal use of their draft pick. It is cincy though, so I guess it's possible in that senseOBJ kinda sucks in Cincy. Would assume teams are checking to see if he can play RT too since he was only a LT in college
#smokescreenSo Jeanty, Hampton, Johnson will have visited.
Bears are most definitely taking a RB with one of their top 3 picks, Ben needs his new weapon.
Sure they might draft Warren but trading up sounds like a bit of a reach to meI have said that about the Falcons for the last two years, and they have gone offense. With that owner you can never figure out what the hellthey are going to do.
Well, isn't it said that the TE is a bad QB's best friend. I believe Colts are very interested in Warren. Colts only have to trade up 4 picks.
I wouldn't trade up for Warren. I'd trade up for Jeanty if it only cost #41.Sure they might draft Warren but trading up sounds like a bit of a reach to me
I wouldn’t trade up for anyone besides Carter, and even still why give up draft capital when there is deep talent in this draftI wouldn't trade up for Warren. I'd trade up for Jeanty if it only cost #41.
Mason Graham worth a trade upI wouldn’t trade up for anyone besides Carter, and even still why give up draft capital when there is deep talent in this draft
I don't feel like we have nearly as many holes. Jeanty would be a HUGE upgrade. What I'm looking at right now at #10 would be in impact player. To me, that's RB, TE, maybe LT/DE if the pick starts. #39 and #41 are for depth, and future starters. Jeanty would have an IMMEDIATE impact. Would Hampton? Henderson? Judkins? Kaleb? Maybe. But there are only a few blue chip OFF players, and Jeanty is one of them.I wouldn’t trade up for anyone besides Carter, and even still why give up draft capital when there is deep talent in this draft
