They really can't financially, and the packers wouldn't want him at that price or I imagine extending him.
The Packers are going to role with Love and or rebuild if Rodgers goes, they are only going to want picks and rookie deal players.

The packers are keeping Rodgers then otherwise they would have gotten Love more meaningful playin time in games instead they kept Rodgers in for the garbage time to pad his stats. It’s pretty clear, it’s all up to Aaron if he wants to stay.

Awesome hire, a better fit than Brady, just not as high of a ceiling. I don’t think that is a bad thing, Fields will make them all look great if things go our way. Best thing for him is all the coaches on the same page.
