They were selling how versatile Lucas was being able to play multiple positions I don’t see why not. We don’t want fields to become damaged goods that should be a goal. If they were willing to pay a 6 game starter 4 mil a year you can prob get tretter on a one or two year deal for same or cheaper

Would we rather have Bates? Sure. But he is still very unproven. And we were not a guard away from having a good offense. Still have to build through the draft. Still need a LT anyway.
