@BearsBud said QBR though. See below.
For dum dums that dont understand football jargon

"What Is The Definition Of Quarterback Rating In Football?

1. Quarterback rating, also called a “passer rating,” is a statistic that represents a quarterback’s overall performance. The formula for this rating involves the number of yards, touchdowns, completions, attempts and interceptions recorded by the player"

Maybe ask Colin to splain it to you!

But wasnt that the hype on Mahomes? That he made plays out of nothing?.. That he was so good he would avoid pressure and make something happen when very little was there? That mere mortal defenses were powerless against the KC offense?
Looks like the hype was wrong

BTW...scoring 31 points isn't "stumbling" into a win..It was total domination!

Mahomes couldn't even score in garbage time.
People like to make it all about the QBs but it's still a team sport. This was more about an overpowering pass rush vs a limp dick pass rush. Here's everything you need to know.

this game demonstrated that having an elite QB, a weak offensive line, and a mixed bag on defense, coupled with some key receptions dropped, will lose you the big one.

the Chicago Bears are lesser than the Kansas City Chiefs. so just ponder this when you're all in on trading for some other team's quarterback. that's all I'm trying to say. Buccaneers just like out-schemed them in every phase. I wish the Bears brass weren't complete morons and just hired Arians instead of Trestman. but knowing the scene here, Arians would've been run out about 6 years ago or something.

On the very rare occasions when even the great Brady had injuries to starters on his OL he clearly wasn't the same. A hobbled Mahomes with a shit OL vs a dominant front 7 had no chance. Still he's by far the best QB not named TB12.

Mahomes looked like Garo Yepremian running backwards and throwing up crap. Could have had 6 plus picks by just chucking the ball up in the air when running backwards. One of the worst qb super bowl performances in history. He had no answer from jump street.
How does one watch the game and come up with this as an opinion?

Mahomes didnt take what the D gave him and tried to do too much. Even the man himself said it. Hes an amazing QB but he didnt play great game. Yes there were drops, yes the o line sucked, but yes he made mistakes too.

I dont think anyone is saying he didnt make mistakes too. I think the only thing most of us are saying is the resident 4M nuthuggers are overselling his mistakes when if it were Bears OL that gave up 29 pressures and Bears WRs who dropped passes in the end zone, they would be blaming those things more than they are here.

Im not a 4M nuthugger but I do think he is held to a much higher standard than some of these other QBs people on here would consider. Darnold for instance from the other thread. And before you call out talent again all I read on here is how the Bears will be a 3-4 win team next year because they have no talent. Maybe not from you but Im just saying.

Sorry, give me Mahomes with a dogshit OL any day of the week. That was the Super Bowl. An injured OL with a devastating pass rush. I called this the week before. That game doesn't change anything. Doesn't create any kind of new narrative on how to build a team and win games. The man ran 500 yards as a QB.

Again, that was the SB. The Bears haven't won a playoff game in a decade and have been to one SB since in 35 years. Get the elite QB and worry about the rest later.

If we could just unplug Trubisky and plug in Mahomes, without dealing with picks and contracts, I would agree...But to mortgage the team to the extent we would have to to get him, (which isn't happening anyway), would be a disaster.

He ran 500 yards because he ran backwards trying to hit homeruns instead of taking the what the D gave him.
