Um, was the debate about a hotdog being a sandwich ever resolved? If so, hotdogs are definitely a top 5 goats candidate. well, unless you are some fake meat tofu eating commy bastard.

Depends what kind of hot dog you use for your hot dog sandwich. It has to be all beef at worst.

BLT has to be number 1....add pickles and onions
Garlic bologna
Rueben
Italian beef
Pork chorizo burger with green chili mayo.

Agree with the BLT, but I make mine with Spinach and add Avocado. I also use Turkey Bacon.

Most of the best deli foods are made with some form of disguising process.

Changes nothing.

Am I the only one here who thinks BLTs are overrated?

I'm with you, until I throw a slice of gouda on it. Changed the game.

A bit of raw onion works on a BLT also. I would never do cheese on one though. Had cheese on a club once, and it sucked bad.

Leaf? But I agree, the simplicity of the BLT is what makes it work. Personally, I prefer mayo to garlic aioli, but I ain't criticizing. Adding more ingredients turns it into a club.

Totally.

It is like saying you need to spruce up your PB&J sandwich. You could, but doesn't that make it an entirely different sandwich?

Love me a good BLT or a good PB&J, but it is difficult to place either one in a Top Five List IMO.

Currently consuming a Klondike Bar and wondering if omitting ice cream sandwiches thus far was borderline sinful.

Avocado is nice...there is a diner not to far from my place that does it that way and they do list it on the menu as "BLAT" which is pretty fun to order as well.

"Let me get a BLAT toasted dark!"
