Castellanos is slashing .273/.328/.462 in 2019. He leads the American League with 37 doubles while adding 11 homers. Castellanos hit 23 home runs in 2018, smacking 26 homers along with 101 RBIs in 2017.
Its the fact he is slashing .345/.412 against lefties so Heyward or Schwarber, probably Schwarber sits. I dont think there is any chance of him playing third.

I can look at this as

LF Schwarber/Castellanos
CF Almora/Kemp
RF Heyward
3B Bryant
SS Baez
2B
1B Rizzo
C Contreras/Caratini

I'm guessing Bote stays up. Happ and Garcia demoted. That leaves it at 11. They need a back up SS and I would promote Russell again and make him the starting 2b. Play the D card.
Nick has played nothing but right field for the past two seasons. Heyward will be playing center. I dont think they see Kemp as anything more than Gore or Hamilton would have been.
Heywards gold glove streak should end.

Its been over a year, Bote is the backup shortstop. Zobrist is behind him when he returns. No need for Russell til september.

Kemp is literally nothing like Gore or Hamilton

I liked CJ Edwards and thought he'd work things out.
CJ lost me when he lost the CJ and went to Jr. I thought he should have gone back to CJ when he was called up again and taken a pitchers number. The guy has too much stuff going thru his head.

Its good he got a change of scenery, Theo seems to be really generous with those moves with Stella, Monty and now Edwards,

I suppose at the end of the day it will be too tempting to play both Catellanos and Schwarber at times, as both are better offensively overall than whoever would play RF if they platoon in LF.

But from a splits standpoint, all signs scream LF platoon with these two.

And after all that, given that no new additions are available tonight, we get a starting lineup that includes Happ and Bote - AGAIN, and has Heyward leading off.

I like the moves we made, but "lineup anxiety" won't end completely.

Houston had the 5th highest payroll entering 2019, and added Greinke, who makes $35 million per year.

$24 million offsets it somewhat, but he is still owed $53 million through 2021.

So Astros get 2.5 years of Greinke for $53M. Seems like a straight up bargain.

Well Schwarber /Heyward/ Catellanos.

Then 7th inning bring in Almora and Kemp.

I really don't like jiggsaw line ups though

Just think

Verlander at 98 MPH
Grenkie with a 70 slow curve
The 98 again with Cole.

Teams will be compelely off timing.

Schwarber hits righties, Castellanos hits lefties. Best bet is to not play them together.

I don't know that timing from one day to the next is the big issue, but no matter - these three are currently 1-2-3 in WHIP. That's a heck of a rotation now and especially in the postseason.

Schwarber has an OBP of .321 against RHP. I would hardly call that "hitting righties."

I'd be pretty darned happy if I were an Astros fan.

But it still amounts to adding over $20 million per year in PR to a team that had the 5th highest payroll.

My guess on a lineup (sans Zobrist) is

vs LHP
Contreras - C
Castellanos - LF
Bryant - 3B
Rizzo - 1B
Baez - SS
Almora - CF
Heyward - RF
p
Garcia/Bote - 2B

Vs RHP
Garcia/Kemp - 2B
Heyward - CF
Bryant - 3B
Rizzo - 1B
Baez - SS
Contreras/Caratini - C
Schwarber - LF
P
Castellanos - RF

The obvious move when Zobrist comes back is he becomes your leadoff/2B vs both and then against lefties, he bats leadoff, Contreras moves to 6 and Almora 9

With over a .500 slug and over .800 OPS. That is the defintion of hitting righties
