Again, players will go to the highest bid. If you’re telling me if the money is equal, player will choose better/winning organization, yeah…no shit ?

No I am telling you if the money is not significantly more players may still go to another team because they dont trust the Bears. Over the years there have been reports we lost out even when we were the highest bidder and for guys we did get we had to bid significantly more.

I doubt anyone else was close to offering Larry O 13m a year.

And remember when AJ Bouye chose less money to go to a winning franchise like the Jags, LMFAO.

Pretty sure @remydat had this same opinion as recently as yesterday. Things are slowly changing as he sees people not supporting roquan

My position has not changed. If Bears are offering way more money then obvious player will likely still sign with Bears. If it is close then why sign with a team that may hold you hostage on your next contract because they can?

Look at what the Bears are doing and the good perenenial playoffs teams did with their guys. They signed or traded them. Pretty simple.

Football talk only please. This isn't a space for you to cry about your jealousy of the Pack.

See ya for the London game, when 99% of the stadium will be Packers fans.

I assume with the game tomorrow, there is no practice today? Or maybe just a walk thru?

Speaking of Larry O, reports are he has looked good in Steelers camp. Perhaps Poles can trade Quan for Claypool and Larry O as doubt Steelers will be re-signing Claypool given what they gave Diontae and with Pickens waiting in wings.

Kinda creepy that you took time out of your day to photo shop a pic of her and claim that she did to lessen your pain of being jealous of the Packers.

Enjoy the game tonite. I know your obsessed eyes will be glued to it.

Meh, what is creepy is a guy that has multiple pictures of some random girl in Packers underwear on his computer. By the way, the picture without her face was way better...well somewhat better.

I think obsessed is the guy that spends 8-10 hrs a day on an opposing teams message board, but that's just me.

Is she the photographer’s sister or cousin?

Back on topic please. E.g. arguing about another man's money.

Hard pass on Claypool. Not a good teammate, immature and doesn't always play hard. ND homer here, locker room was relieved he left. I know you've always had a hard on for him but the kid is missing a few cards from the deck.

So you’re saying bears had to offer Jobi significantly more money and they lost out on Bouye because they “don’t trust the bears?” What’s the reason for both of them not trusting the bears, exactly?

This is his leverage. Making the Bears look bad. This is not playing well for the Bears or Quan across the league but Quan fashions himself a freedom fighter. Quan bout to go the CK route and stand up to an oppressive system that tries and holds dudes careers hostage.

Hold his career hostage?? By offering him likely close to 20M/yr??? LOL.

Sounds like the perfect guy for Flus to motivate.

No by not letting him get a long term deal this year. I was discussing the scenario of them not getting a deal dome and forcing him to play this year risk injury.

Shitty franchise that doesnt do right by players.

In the case of Bouye, this was right before NFLPA said they would warn agents and FAs to stay away from Bears because they supported legislation in Illinois that would harm players.

In the case of Larry O, if you are going to a team that is likely to hold the franchise tag or 5th year option over your head rather than pay you then yes you are likley to demand more money.

ARob lost a ton of money because the Bears made him play on the tag. You honestly think agents dont know which teams are heavy handed and which are player friendly and adjust their demands accordingly?

The Quan deal was a chance for Poles to distance himself from the tactics of his predecessor. Again for good teams this is simply. Pay them what they want or trade them.

It sounds to me like the Bears org wanted to get a long-term deal done. Perhaps there was some tomfoolery with the numbers which dissatisfied RS, but the fact remains that he has a deal which would likely make him a top-3 paid off-ball backer on the table. None of it is our business, but from some of the reports coming out in the last 3 days, it sounds like the deal made by the Bears is more than fair.

Fair is relative. Doesnt matter how fair you think it is if the other guy doesnt want to sign.

Again this should have been addressed months ago and if the dude doesnt want to sign a fair deal then trade him.

There is virtually no benefit to having a disgruntled player on a team not competing for shit this year when you trying to build a team first culture.
