Apparently the criminal investigation was turned over to prosecutors on August 4th so there could still be charges coming towards him and the others involved. Hopefully they choose to bring charges against them as it sounds horrific. Allegedly gang raped a minor while her piercings in her ears, nose and belly button were ripped out. That sounds extremely painful alone, then add in the gang rape and it's just awful all the way around.

Hope she gets justice, absolutely fk'd up.

I’m just waiting for the folks who went after Watson to do the same with Araiza
Works for me. **** him and hopefully soon from behind... if he's guilty.
I could understand - though not condone - this for an elite prospect at a critical position.

But for a pedo punter?
I'd hope Poles would take a pass regardless of ability or position.

Another gem by the future Packers QB Jordan Love against players that will be flipping burgers. Will be great once Rodgers retires and they have to eat 100 million in salary cap.
Rodgers plans on playing another 3 years maybe 4. He said this in some interview he did recently.

Where does it say that he can't be suspended for acts committed before he was drafted?

That is what has been reported by ESPN and others. I presume it is based off of the Personal Conduct Policy in particular this section below.

Covered Persons: This policy applies to all players under contract; all coaches; all game officials; all full-time employees of the NFL, NFL clubs, and all NFL-related entities; all rookie players once they are selected in the NFL college draft; and all undrafted rookie players, unsigned veterans who were under contract in the prior League Year, and other prospective employees once they commence negotiations with a club concerning employment. Clubs are strongly encouraged to communicate this policy to independent contractors and consultants and to make clear that violations of this policy will be grounds for terminating a business relationship.

She was also allegedly bleeding from her vagina. Based on the reporting from the LA Times, it sure seems the school and police dragged their feet on this. Should not take 10 months for the cops to turn this over to prosecutors.

The rape alone is fucked up but ripping out piercings is on another level of psychotic behavior. If that was my daughter I'd hunt each of them down and rip something off of them. I hope they get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Three days after the alleged rape, San Diego State President Adela de la Torre and other campus officials learned of the accusations after police contacted the university. A university spokeswoman said De la Torre was not available for interviews for this report.

On Oct. 26, a message sent through the anonymous reporting system was reviewed by Jenny Bramer, the university’s executive associate athletic director and deputy Title IX coordinator: “5 football players raped an unconscious girl at a football party two weeks ago.”

Bramer and the campus Title IX coordinator used the reporting system to question the student-athlete who sent the message, the records show.

The student-athlete was not at the party but had heard from others that “the girl was left bruised and bloody … in the backyard of a football house. Not even in a room.” She had undergone a rape examination, the report said.

“I suggest that the head coach is spoken to and the football players. They know who did it and I am sure they know who the girl is,” the student-athlete told Bramer, adding that “multiple student athletes” were aware of the accusations.

The student-athlete, who described being frightened about being identified, provided the name of one of the football players, a senior, and said the others were freshmen, according to the records.

That night, a second anonymous report from a student-athlete came in regarding “very disheartening and disgusting information” that was “spreading quickly” in the athletics department.

This student-athlete also was not present at the home during the party but reported hearing similar accusations, including that the alleged victim took a rape kit. The student described being frightened and concerned that coaches were “trying to sweep it under the rug because our football team is doing so well.”

“99% of the football players are aware of the 5-person rape so the rest of the student-athletes are left wondering why nothing is being done,” the student said, adding: “Every person in authority here at SDSU needs to be aware of this, including Adela de la Torre.”

Well, they had to wait until the college football season was over and everything... And then of course they couldn't ruin they young gentleman's whole life or anything, so they had to wait until after the draft, so it didn't affect his draft status and glorious opportunity to join the NFL Fraternity and be a future booster.

Mods, I apologize for going off-script a bit. I'll get back to football now. I'll have no more comments on that punter sleezebag.

That just states when they become subject to the personal conduct policy, not whether or not previous offenses are subject to punishment.

Found this, so doubt he is immune toNFL punishment.

Upon being accepted into the NFL supplemental draft, Terrelle Pryor had to have thought all of his woes were behind him.

That didn't last long. The NFL has issued a five-game suspension of Pryor in accordance with his NCAA troubles.

Even if she consented to it, is a 17yr old(probably under the influence) able to actually consider the consequences of that decision? She's surrounded by college guys and probably drunk or high.
When I owned a bar, I never took home a girl from the bar. If they wanted to hangout, it was always a date or a meet up.
Article said she was drunk. You are unable to provide consent if you are drunk.

I didn't but is he stout enough to do that? He's like a blitzing linebacker except with an OLman assigned to him. I'll need to watch him this game.
I never thought nor currently think that he’d be a routine B gapper/3Tech. I see him more as a dude that’s unleashed on like 3rd&10 or something where it’s a clear passing situation and he just has to beat the gap.

Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia*

There are some scouts around the league who believe Carter has the most upside in this draft class, and he's the type of player around whom new GM Ryan Poles could build an entire defensive unit. He had just 3.0 sacks last season, but he was sharing snaps with multiple 2022 first-round picks. Carter consistently lives in the other team's backfield. A true penetrator as a 3-technique, he's a wrecking ball with high-level explosiveness, hand power and finishing ability.

Biggest needs: OL, WR, DL

Multiple places reported he is not subject but maybe they got it wrong.

The NFL said in a statement that it was aware of the incident but declined to comment. Because the alleged rape happened before Araiza was drafted, he would not be subject to the league's personal conduct policy.
