If mobility is what the Bears like in an OLman, then this guy is not it
He actually was a "bouncer" at a prom party house my twin sons' senior year. He ran through a lattice wall like Koolaid man and tripped on and broke a sprinkler running when the cops showed up. So yeah, not smart or nimble.

Just seems premature.
Totally agree. We all recognize that he has been given very little to work with, no line, few playmakers, and because of the ineptitude of the staff last year, this is essentially Year 1. Yet we are willing to give up on him that fast?? Makes very little sense to me.

Josh Allen did not take off until year 3. Yet we give up on Fields in year 2/essentially year 1? Waited all our lives for a guy this hard working and talented and yet it seems some are in an awful hurry to get rid of him.

Yeah it just seems very odd to have him in horrible situations and be willing to move on so quickly. He played like 10 games last year with a HC who literally didn't take feedback from his players. Now he starts a new offense with 1 legitimate playmaker and an offensive line that ranks near the very bottom in the league. New play caller and HC. The only way i could see them moving on from him is if there is zero progress made.

Completely missing the point.

It has nothing to do with “giving up on Fields”. It has everything do to with the importance of the position and availability. If you’re on the draft board and a truly elite QB prospect is there AND you’re not 100% sure you have a top 5 QB you need to take the guy and sort it out later.

How is it that Bears fans in the year 2022 after decades of being god awful at the position still don’t understand it’s importance?

You don’t get many chances to draft these elite QB’s. You can go a decade at a time and not get another chance. When its there you take it and sort the rest out later.

I'd like to see VJones get a ball out in front of him at least once a game to reveal what he can do. The Robert Schmitz video breakdown shows how special he was in college.
I'd like to see him targeted at least 5 times ?
