Totally agree. We all recognize that he has been given very little to work with, no line, few playmakers, and because of the ineptitude of the staff last year, this is essentially Year 1. Yet we are willing to give up on him that fast?? Makes very little sense to me.

Josh Allen did not take off until year 3. Yet we give up on Fields in year 2/essentially year 1? Waited all our lives for a guy this hard working and talented and yet it seems some are in an awful hurry to get rid of him.
Only a few fans want that but will claim they dont

Completely missing the point.

It has nothing to do with “giving up on Fields”. It has everything do to with the importance of the position and availability. If you’re on the draft board and a truly elite QB prospect is there AND you’re not 100% sure you have a top 5 QB you need to take the guy and sort it out later.

How is it that Bears fans in the year 2022 after decades of being god awful at the position still don’t understand it’s importance?

You don’t get many chances to draft these elite QB’s. You can go a decade at a time and not get another chance. When its there you take it and sort the rest out later.
Elite QB's like Mitchell Trubisky and Cade McNown? Lol

Bill about to get exposed for this nonsense with Patricia
Is the was it Brady or Belichick even a thing anymore? I was a Joe Montana hold out as long as I could make a reasonable argument, but Brady is the NFL Ali, Jordan , Ruth. Haters gonna hate, but guy is living the best life evah.

Not sure what you're getting at? So because the Bears missed on a couple QB's they shouldn't try? Or are you just laughing at their ineptitude?

A horrible man who used to scream about his Philadelphia Eagles (though he's from California) on YouTube before he was exposed as a chester chomo. The link is NSFW

The ineptitude and the thought that having a Top 5 or 15 1st round pick guarantees they will draft a great QB.

Of course it doesn't guarantee it. Never said that. But obviously it increases the odds of a good QB prospect being there.

But I've said the same thing on here for years... regardless of round the Bears pass on QB opportunities.

SO, according to you, know FOR SURE that there is an elite QB in the draft next year and the Bears should draft them no matter what, passing on maybe an actual elite WR or O-Line player?

I mean, is this QB gonna block or run routes? How would a team 'sort it out later' after making such a dumbshit blunder like that?

Also, is the dumb looking guy in your avatar you, as it makes you harder to deal with as that is how I currently process it.

Never said for sure. You're making that up.

The Bears have 100 million next year in cap space and all their picks. That's not enough to improve the offense?

If you don't know who my avatar is you're not a Bears fan.

It amazes me that Bears fans can spend decades getting their asses kicked by Aaron Rodgers but still don't value the QB position. The Packers drafted him when they HAD A HOF QB! But for some reason Justin Fields makes the idea of drafting a QB inconceivable.

Brett Farve was 36 in 2005 and constantly threatening retirement when the Packers drafted Rodgers, Fields will be 23. Like you stated the bears have a lot resources next year so why why they draft a QB when they can actually try to build around their QB for once? Unless Fields plays awfully your rainbow like argument makes no sense

OK so you agree if he plays awful then it makes sense?

What if he plays average and the Bear's have the #1 pick? What if there's a Burrow, Manning or a Luck sitting there? Ya good?
