Fields looks good out there! Flicked on the Browns network broadcast and they are raving about Fields - saying he is “dismantling” the Browns, and that he looks like a different quarterback out there.

Looks extremely comfortable and sharp. Shows what hard work and competent coaching will do.

A. No one is going to trade you a legit NFL QB.
B. So trade the QB to get picks, and use the picks to draft another QB?
A.) Izzat so? How did Denver get a QB? Yes. It happens, so it’s not an absolute, more of a generality where exceptions occur. There’s not reason we couldn’t be one.

B.) exactly. Since Justin Fields looks like the man, build around him. If he’s not, and after tonight’s game, him failing seems even less likely. So, draft a good team, get picks, and watch Fields be the dream incarnate.

So, once again, no we do not draft a qb next year, unless Justin Fields starts to look like the antithesis of what he looks like now.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. North Carolina Tar Heels
Except both QBs aren’t on the Commanders and they both are average. Also Cousins was a 5th round pick
You seemed to have missed the (my) point. Washington gave up 3 1st round picks and a 2nd to take RG3 second overall. Clearly they were high on him and expected him to be a 'franchise' QB. However.. QB is so important.. they couldnt resist passing on a talent in the beginning of the 4th round. (not 5th). Im not trying to debate how well that worked out for Washington.. simply that I understand their mindset that there is almost not cost not worth paying to secure a franchise QB. Cousins turned out the better QB. If they Bears have a top 5 pick and a consensus blue chip QB is sitting there in the draft. It's not wrong to draft him. How often do you get a top 5 pick, especially in a year a stud QB is there. And as BBBS noted.. how many good QBs have the Bears had in the past century? Do the Bears need to draft a QB when they have Fields? Maybe not. But if they do.. you cant declare that a 'no-no'.
