Dayum! Mooney talking the talk! Getting the fans hyped for week 1 !!!

"I know he's a dog," Mooney said Monday of Fields. "I know he does things after practice, during practice and in the off-season. There's things that he's shown. I've seen exactly what he can do. He's going to shine for sure. He's going to blossom. He's going to prove everything that everybody doubted him on – especially Week 1. That team passed on him. So, they're going to have to pay a little bit for that."

Here we go again.... What is it this time? Didn't ask enough questions about Ebner?

Nah .. just more unintelligent, leading type questions. It wasn't a Q&A to actually inquire about factual info, he asks these rambling questions that double as some type of tall-tale like delivery and left Getsy looking dumbfounded:

(two dumb ass questions @ 4:40 & 5:32)

..that shit was mad awkward.

I’m tired of hearing about the Bears trading starting oline. They have to put out the best oline possible it’s top priority. Plus I thought our line was trash why do so many teams want to trade for our players?

The most hilarious part is how the NFL World spent all summer saying how much our OL stinks and is gonna get JF killed, but now thinks our personnel is Grade-A trade bait ?

Sure there are always exceptions to the rule but I would say a competent coaching staff has ways around that.

Keep in mind that as bad as the line was last year they still held blocks for at least 2.5 seconds as they were 6th in the NFL in pass block win rate so a QB faced with that reality should adjust and get rid of the ball quicker or scrambling sooner.

Herbert is a good example as he led the NFL in passer rating under pressure despite having a bad OL his rookie year.

Fields for his part appears to be taking the checkdowns he didnt last year. In a strange way the best thing I heard about camp was how uneventful the passing game was overall and how there werent as many big plays. The media said it as a knock but for me it was evidence Fields was checking the ball down. I already know he can make big plays. What he needs to do is make all the little ones that sustain drives while you wait for the big play to materialize.
Just like setting up a later td pass to Kmet by hitting the FB on a boring and simple completion. Hitting easy check downs will open the deep up top.

Mark Potash is the Joe Cowley of the Bears beat. He's just there to see if he can spark up some drama, but his questions are always asked in the most cringe-inducing way possible. I can't stand him.
