Yep he signed two average vets and one young guy who's had very minimal starting time in the NFL and just got hurt, which we all know that on CCS that means the GM made a bad signing. Oh and can't wait to see how many of these late round OL make the team...LOL

Tell me more about how he did??????????????????????

Good to hear you think our OL that Poles built will be good this year though....SMFH
You said he didn’t take it seriously. He clearly did.

I have no idea if it’ll be good. You seem to be under this assumption that he had tons of cash and high picks or something. The secondary was awful too. Along with a lot of other things. It’s not a one year rebuild. But your comment about him not taking it seriously is ridiculous.

This is one where Wiederer can be a bit of downer; however, I think he probably is closer to the truth of the overall offensive execution. Fields and company are making plays and we see highlights, but even all the offensive guys talking about how it's work in progress. They have time to chip away at the kinks, but I'm not surprised for it to be described as clunky either.

I’d be shocked if it wasn’t clunky. It’ll probably be clunky all year.

It just needs to get better. Need to see that arrow pointing up by the end of the year.

In your eyes, what does it mean to you if not all of Poles draft picks make the team?

Sure Poles didn’t go out and spend a ton of money but he has the o line set up to be better than what Pace left him with.

He also went out and drafted/signed players that fit the scheme that Getsy wants to run.

Poles is giving Fields the opportunity to run an offenses that fits his skill set. So although they may be minor, Poles is doing a lot of good things.
If you can't make this team then you have serious issues...LOL. Lets see which ones make a team that's actually built and ready to compete which hopefully will be 2023 or 2024.

Well his very first signing was a pretty significant contract, he just unfortunately gave that contract to a player who didn't pass his physical in Larry O.

So he signed some WR's and OL that fit Getsy's scheme, even though we don't really know what that scheme will be until we actually see it, but we all think it will in most ways look like some form of the Shanahan offense. Now lets see just how good these WR's and OL can play this year.

I love that we finally have someone who brought in coaches that will run an offense that fits what Fields does best. This year should be all about making Fields better and giving him time to sit in the pocket and make throws when that's what the play calls for and giving him offensive weapons to make the plays. We already had our RB room set (I am curious to see what T.Ebner can do) and starting TE set so lets hope a couple of these WR's he brought in can help our #1 WR in Mooney.

Sports are also an avenue through which small changes can create large improvements. This is a game where a single inch is the difference between a touchdown and a tackle.

Your first statement is just flat out idiotic.

Your second statement about Larry O is irrelevant to how Poles has handled the offseason so far.

It doesn’t matter if us the fans know what the scheme is because the coaching staff and players do know. Not every FA signing is going to be a hit. The important thing is Poles is finding guys to fit the scheme. Pace and Nagy were never on the same page.

And putting Fields in a scheme that best fits his abilities can be that small change that leads to bigger improvements. Even if the Wr and OL rooms are mediocre.

Bears fans like him are just angry they didn't sign a BIG NAME. Same with the media. All the 'experts' say the Bears got rid of their best WR, Robinson, but all of us that actually watch the games know AR wasn't worth the money he wanted anymore after his shit performance last year. I was just in the car and heard these Packer Sports talk people saying the Bears D line is gonna be rough, cause they let Mack and Hicks go away....but once again, us that watched the games, know that neither really played much last year.

Just cause Pols didn't add a bunch of over paid has beens, that everyone has heard of....BIG NAME, doesn't mean this team is automatically gonna be trash. Not saying they won't be trash, but it's not a given imo.

..these two should get a room. Periods lining up and all..
I kind of assume what they are saying is accurate. The offense being clunky doesn't really mean fields has been bad... I moreso get the feeling the bears fan boys on Twitter have been blowing out of proportion how good fields has looked after each good play. This offense is certainly still a learning process for all these guys.

Also a lot of the good plays were in 7 on 7s with no pash rush. And a few I've seen were plays that kept going after would have been sacks.

I think I've seen or read about more completed deep balls in this training camp than the sum total of the previous regime. Okay so that's hyperbole, but every day there are 3-5 deep ball completions. It could also account for the interceptions as well. I believe it possibly points to the strategy for the season- run the ball and play-action-deep.

Sorry. This offense showing these problems is just proof that Poles is out of his league and doesn't take the job seriously. A real serious GM would have this offense scoring points like The Greatest Show on Turf. Matt & Ryan are already bums

Heard him on the Score with Grote and Spiegel. Sounded like he has zero faith in Fields being the guy.

You don't see the hypocrisy in white knighting for Pace for 7 years but then whining about the 7 people he brought in on the OL before a single game is played.
