That’s fair, but if you are supposed to be a #1, not every throw is perfect. If it hits you in the hands, you snag that shit.

He did snag it and then the DB knocked it out of his hands. Those guys get paid to make plays too. Yes we would all like for him to hold onto the ball but it was a good play by the DB. Every WR gets the ball knocked out of his hands from time to time. Using that as some basis to claim he is not a number 1 is silly.

By the way lets not forget his first signing (Larry O) which was a significant signing, so he did try to sign someone to a good contract, wasn't a huge deal but was a good deal.

Yeah, it was definitely a mistake. But, he didn't compound it by completing the signing to save face when they determined he failed the physical either. My guess is the agent was not exactly 100% upfront about the extent of the injury and how the recovery was going. I assume that he will learn from it and how to handle a situation like that for the future.

And he admitted it cost the team opportunities to maybe be able to sign someone else. It's common sense that it did, and he addressed it in one of the press conferences. So, it's a stumble, but not like it means he is destined to always make questionable decisions for his entire time as a GM.

Yeah the Larry O situation is overblown. He signed a guy. Dude failed the physical. Hardly shocking that Poles is not physic and unable to predict how bad injuries are without seeing medicals first.

His year to prove what he is. I’d love for him to be a number 1.

You think Poles took the OL seriously? I don't see it with the additions he made and all the guys he passed up in the draft and free agency.
He's had a underwhelming offseason which everyone can clearly see. I mean he tore this thing down to the bones and didn't do much to build it back up besides what he did in the draft, which we all should know by now that we can't count on a single one of them becoming good/great players until we actually see it in actual games. We have some really good young players left over from the last regime ...Tearing it down was the easy part.

Well this guy hasn't missed a Bears game in 40+ years and never said anything about wanting Poles to sign a BIG NAME soooooooooo you're simply running your mouth and you don't even know what you're talking about.

Not upset, i actually said that i won't judge Poles until he gets through next offseason's free agency and draft to see what he does with a huge cap and a draft with all of our picks.

You're making it boring.
Yeah, you haven't judge Poles at all or gotten upset.

LOL

Wonder how people rank Kyler Gordon’s camp so far. It feels like Brisker had impressed more, had the smoother transition. Of course have to give Kyler time, but wonder how he compares with Andrew Booth Jr’s camp, who was right there in the draft and has all the physical tools.

All the reports on Velus sound great to me. Mooney, Pringle, Velus, and ESB could be a pretty solid 4, if not spectacular, for all the criticism of the WR corps.

And o-line as always is my biggest concern. Lucas Patrick hurts for smoothing out the inconsistencies on offense we’re experiencing. Definite need some veteran leadership somewhere on offense
