Just started reading a book called Overthrow by Stephen Kinzer. It's about all of the rulers and governments the US has overthrown starting with Hawaii.

Anyway, I'm currently trying to slog my way through Cities of the plain, V.4 of Proust's Remembrance of Things Past, not McCarthy's. He's always verbose, but goddamn v.4 takes it to another level. By far the weakest volume so far imo. Of course it could partially be the translation as well.
