Tootoo = garbage goon. Serious head-scratcher.

Ha, I like that they're talking about Leddy and newly acquired Oduya being a pairing

He plays with a lot of grit and passion and sticks up for his teammates. Given our financial situation, I think it's a good signing, though I would like to see us add a Hudler, a Parenteau, or a Vrbata, someone like that.

Tootoo won't play more than 10 games, unless there are some injuries

What I'd really like to see though, more than a Hudler, a Parenteau, a Vrbata, and I know the draft picks haven been fewer and in the higher rounds, than when Dale Tallon was drafting, is to see someone since then, rise up from the organization and make an impact on the team like DT's picks have done.

Agreed, Stan needs to come up with more than 4th line fodder and 5 and 6 dmen in the draft.

PA signed with the Isles a few days back. I do think that Hudler and Vrbata are and should be targets for the Blackhawks. Blackhawks badly need help in the top 9 if they want to improve on last year's quick exit.

I actually think Tootoo can surprise some people (especially if they are thinking it is a complete waste of a signing). I think it is a low risk move, he won't cost the Blackhawks anything (cap wise) if he is in the minors, and he could help the bottom 6.

Tootoo is depth, grit, and a punching bag along the lines of Carcillo. He might not even make the team out of training camp. Low risk high reward signing if he has a good season. I like it.

I'm not against the Tootoo signing, he had something like 5 or 6 total points last season. If he makes the team I can see Q putting him in vs the Blows.

My issue with the signing is the 'hawks should have gone one or the other. Either sign Mash, sign 22, but not both.

I'm with you on that. I don't think we want to see the both of them in a lineup together...

The one thing that doesn't really make me care about it is the fact that if they are in Rockford, they aren't hurting the Blackhawks cap at all. Might be hurting Rocky's wallet a bit, but not the cap. Who knows, maybe Stan trades one of them for an asset (a low, low draft pick) come trade deadline.

The flipside is Q uses both <Vomit>.

Still, if it works out as hopes...1 is FWD13, I am okay with that. I just think we signed 1 too many washed up toughguys; either vould have been a PTO in the preseason.

First of all, don't call people Eskimo's.

Second, Vesey is the only thing that can save us now.

Buffalo is a good fit for him. So is Edmonton and others building exciting young lines.

But we are better, and can support him with Toews who is his soul mate. He is a finisher, and belongs on the lottery line...nnnnooooo...

he completes the lottery line and at 23 is ready right now. This needs to happen. Its the best thing for his career...those guys will get him rookie of the year the same way Kane/AA did for Pan and without a McJesus to compete with.

Interesting, I watch a bunch of those cable shows on Alaskans, and the Eskimo people and their families refer to themselves as Eskimos. "Native Alaskans"?
