we have no other choice ...no team is gonna trade for him

even if we could trade him i would feel wrong throwing Rose under the bus...he gave us some great years on low salary...so he has my loyalty

also like other ppl said its a bad look for us as a organization

no chance Rose is getting traded...so :dealwithit:

Rose has a guaranteed contract worth $96MM, but you feel like he's being thrown under a bus? Rose will make his money regardless if he ever steps on a court again.

Add his endorsements and he'll be crying all the way to the bank the day he leaves Chicago.

yeah i think dumping to some dead franchise for some unknown draft pick is throwing him under the bus

but it really doesn't matter about that....we have no other choice...no team is gonna trade for him...you seem to be ignoring that

This is simply your opinion. The fact is he will come back from his knee surgery, and many teams would give up a 1st round pick and contracts to get him.

I'm only a troll to stupid ass homers like you.
A homer is someone that blindly follows a team or player. That description does not fit me, boss.

Rose hasn't played a full season in three years.
He tore his ACL in the post-season of April 2012. He's missed last season fully & 31 games thus far this season. Stop trying to make it appear like he's been gone for 3 years.

He has $90+ Million dollar contract which could screw this team over if he ends up retiring because of his knees.
I bet you didn't care about the contract when he signed it after winning the MVP award. It's not your money, so stop bitching about it. Your last name is not Reinsdorf.

Matter of fact, JR just made a $52 Million profit last season with the Bulls. Rose's contract is not hurting him at all, especially considering Rose's jersey sales are making JR money.

A smart fan recognizes this. I swear everything is a fucking fairy tale with you clowns. If the Bulls can skillfully maneuver themselves, they can have the best roster in the NBA, with or without Rose. You idiots want to keep everybody but add Melo. We need more than Melo to win a championship.
If there was a show of hands on this board, I betcha most posters would declare you the clown & idiot.

Did you graduate high school, or did they grant you early parole with a GED?

Technically Lebron James hasn't played 3 full seasons either. Dwyane Wade hasn't played a full season in his whole career. Yes I know, completely different situations. How about Westbrook though? Think his career is in jeopardy? After all, he's had like 3 surgeries on his knee in the past couple years. His injury is the same one that Rose had. Or how about Iman Shumpert? He tore up his whole knee that season Rose tore his ACL. I'm guessing you're thinking they'll be alright.

A meniscus injury isn't going to derail Rose's career. It's not like having microfracture surgery or something like that. You'd think Derrick Rose is going to be Brandon Roy with how people are jumping off bridges with claims that his career is basically over. Physically, Rose was fine before that meniscus tear. I saw no reason to think that he wasn't the same player athletically. Tons of players have come back from meniscus tears and have played just as well. Now all of a sudden he's going to have to retire? I suppose he's got weaker knees than Greg Oden then.

Those advocating for a Rose trade must really hate the Bulls organization.

You do understand that the moment they trade him, they will be frozen out of any superstar FA signings for eternity. If you thought their reputation was bad now, just imagine what it will be after they trade the humble home-town kid because he injured his knees after winning a MVP.

This couldn't be more incorrect. Rose is all about Rose.

I think that the Bulls cannot expect Rose to be the player that he was before his injuries. That would be pretty far fetched. However they can expect that he will be an all-star talent and that is good enough for me. The Bulls are well provisioned to be a dominant team starting next year and for the next three or four at least. With two near lottery picks as well as Mirotic along with Noah, Gibson, Butler, and Snell good young players will abound. Trading Rose for the number one pick is not going to be in the cards.

And Rose is still a big name player as well he's not some role player or some guy that just burst on the scene.

Sooo, what happens if Rose's knees are shot?

That's the point of the article, the comparisons to Hardaway and Hill illustrate that.

I love Rose and truly hope he beats this thing. But I am, at heart, a pragmatist.

Three straight years of making commercials and sitting in luxury suites during games makes me view things from a different perspective than most fans.

Which is exactly why Rose isn't worth anything to any GM, much less a lottery pick. Who, in their right mind, is going to take a chance on a bum wheel Rose? It isn't as if D. Rose can fall back on his exceptional 3 pt shooting stats. Which really makes the article pointless.

Edit: Now lets say you let him play a season out to see how his knees work out, and miracle of miracles he's back to his MVP self. You going to trade him then?

WTF are you talking about? How the hell does Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, and Joakim Noah get you the best roster in the NBA???:slap:

What are you smoking, any chance the Bulls have of being a championship team in the near future is for Rose to come back healthy and play at a level somewhere close to what he was prior to the ACL tear. This second knee injury was not nearly as bad and they only shut him down completely to keep it from becoming a circus again. The only teams that would trade for him are the desperate ones who have nothing to offer but a draft pick and who knows what you get in the draft, maybe you get another D. Rose but then again maybe you end up with Michael Beasly or O.J. Mayo.

This is the viewpoint by you & a few others on internet message boards.

The people that matter....NBA Players, coaches, & execs....view Derrick Rose in a very positive light.

You're wrong, Rose is worth a lot to teams looking for a point guard. He won't be an MVP type player anymore, and his career may not last long, but he can still play at an above average level. If the Bulls and doctors didn't think this, they would be looking for his replacement as we speak.

Geez man, did you even read the article? I'm talking about rebuilding the team with max free agents and draft picks. READing before commenting might be beneficial. :cmonman:

The key word there is "above average"...no smart GM pays 30 percent of their salary cap to a player who "can still play at an above average level"...that's MVP money. His value goes up if he comes back and proves himself to be a great player again.

the same reason you want to get rid of Rose is the same reason teams dont want him...they rather take their chances on Wiggins becoming a superstar than having a player thats "above average" making 20 million
