I think duvernay-tardif is the other tackle
Looking around it seems like they want him at guard. He's never started a game at tackle and thirty seems a little long in the tooth for the position change.

They do have Kyle Long too. Lest we forget.

There are plenty of RT the chiefs can grab late in round 2

Good move by them

Chiefs traded their 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th this year for Brown and the Ravens' 2nd this year. They're definitely going for quality over quantity.

Weird how good teams that are trying to score points seem to value the offensive line.

They value protecting their really good QB.

Step 1 is getting the really good QB.

Take a look at how far having the QB got them in that Super Bowl when there was no protection. Mitchell Schwartz and Eric Fisher were already firmly entrenched as starters when Pat Mahomes came along.

Or step 1 can be getting a really good OL. Problem is Bears have neither.
The Eagles won a Super Bowl with a quarterback currently on the Bears roster because they protected him.

And the Packers have been consistent contenders because they have an elite QB even when their OL wasn’t the greatest.

Dallas has had one of the consistently best OL’s for years and had done nada with it.

??? The Packers offensive line has been damn good over the years. David Bakhtiari, TJ Lang, Corey Linsley, Bryan Bulaga, Josh Sitton, Lane Taylor...I would kill to have had a decade of linemen as good as what the Packers have had. Plus they get to hold pretty much every play.

Dallas won fourteen games with a rookie fourth round quarterback because they had such a stud offensive line. It is one of the glaring and obvious pieces of evidence of this past decade that a great offensive line can make any offense into a juggernaut.

I get why the Chiefs would trade for Brown. What I do not understand is why the Ravens would give a pro bowler to a team that may very likely face in the playoffs.
Probably the best deal they could get. Now that tards like O’Brien are out of the league no one was giving up two firsts. And no way in hell they were trading him for Anthony Miller lol

All of those players outside Sitton have all dealt with a ton of injuries and yet there backups come in and their offense barely skips a beat. Their OL’s have not been that great.

Rodgers was sacked:
36x in 2019 finished 13-3
49x in 2018 6-9-1
35x in 2016 finished 10-6
46x 2015 finished 10-6
51x in 2012 finished 11-5

Good organizations just get better and better. They realized they couldn’t win with a broken line and due to the injuries to their tackles they traded for a top tier class A left tackle.

the besrs Should be ready to at least pick up either Schwartz or fisher but shitty teams and organizations have to over pay for free agents to come here where’s the chiefs get discounted players all the time.
