They would get into the title game against Georgia, I think because of H2H win against UT, who they would be tied with. Not sure about that though. BUt if they win tonight they are in vs GA.

Either way, a win tonight and they are ahead of BAMA, Ole Miss, and SC in the conference standings because one of their losses is to Notre Dame.
Well with Miami out it looks like the committee has found their opportunity to cram four B1G & four SEC teams in. I hadn’t considered the SEC championship game for A&M. Not that I’m sure that would fully settle things either.

They would be ahead in the standings. That would be easily the clearest way to do it.

If Clemson wins in a squeaker, I could see SMU getting in still. Not sure though.
It is so complicated with the B1G now. Ohio State is likely to be fourth in the conference, behind two teams they beat. I’m a huge Buckeye hater and Indiana is the closest thing I have to a team, but there’s no way you can let in Indiana after how they looked in Columbus without letting in Ohio State too.

You gotta find room for them both or for neither. There’s just no worthy teams elsewhere to take those spots, only option is both.

If they get annihilated in the SEC Championship game how does that get handled? We’re in some uncharted territory here, is the committee going to penalize the 12th seed for playing an extra game? That opens a whole can of worms.

I don't think it would matter. I don't think the committee thinks about conference champ games for the loser, other than maybe seeding. Just getting there puts them ahead of teams they finished ahead of in the conference when it's so convoluted otherwise.

I agree, but you are going to have a ton of disgruntlement at a four loss team getting in, even if that fourth loss did come in a glorified exhibition game.

Miami’s out. ACC might only get 1 team now.
Think them and OSU **** any at large 3 loss team but Miami worse of the 2 loss teams right now so yeah probably out. SMU too if they lose ACC.

Notre Dame was shaky but got after it when it mattered. They will probably be #5 now.
Not impressed. I would drop them to 8 or 9 after that shitshow

Doubt that. Maybe if there were other teams that really looked good or had good resumes, but there aren't.

Could be a shit show if following conference champs.

1. Penn State
2. TAMU
3. Clemson
4. BSU
5. BYU.

If that happens then Oregon, ND, and Indiana would be at large 1 loss teams.

2 loss teams would be Texas, OSU, Tenn, SMU and Miami. And then you would have 3 loss GA whose 3rd loss was in a conference championship.

In that scenario I would say Oregon, ND, Texas and OSU probably next 4. That leaves 3 spots.

Argument can be made that Indiana should be in as 1 loss team. Argument can also be made that GA should be in over Tenn because they beat Tenn and only have an extra loss because they went to SEC Championship. SMU should be ahead of Miami for making it to ACC so then is it Tenn over SMU?

Doesn’t look like IU is gonna blow it. They might not score 50 on account of the conditions but Purdue is totally overmatched.

Yes there is no favorite and everyone is definitely flawed but this is not the same UGA teams from 21/22/23.
Exactly. They haven’t been the same since Todd Monken left for the Ravens. That fact and the success he’s had with the Ravens shows what a great OC he is.

Just win baby. Plus they are blowing them out. Great season by Indiana regardless who they have played.

Wait you predicted the No 3 team beating the no 20 team? Really went out on a limb there.

Did anyone actually predict A&M would win?

The whole discussion was about who would make the playoff if A&M won. Seemed that way to me anyway.
