Slightly on topic, but I know of someone who recently got let go basically saying that they wouldn't serve the upcoming political administration at a fancy restaurant in DC. She then went on to talk about it in an interview and got canned. Lost her other job too.

Good. I hope her life becomes more difficult for being an ignorant little child....which is the mentality of the woke puke.....such self-righteous losers. That was 'hate speech' from her....lol.....the woke are going to get burned by their own 'rules'.....Glorious...is my one-word description. Such infantile, small minded people. Also good to see corporations getting rid of DEI.....such phoniness.....it's just their way of stealing taxpayer monies and giving it to their buddies. And that is the reality. And it's hilarious to see all the 'followers' of this religious cult think that their leaders are doing it to save mankind from himself. Remember one thing.....Follow the money trail!

The only reason he got fired was because social media named the company he worked for, that's it. They dont want any sort of backlash from current and potential clients, so they make a decision based on that and probably that alone. That's all it really is.

Codes of conduct are in place at most companies, it's part of the job. I only skimmed the story but did someone other than himself cancel culture him from his job? Or was it just a high enough public exposure incident that his employer terminated him for violating a work policy?

when i lived in TX i knew someone who catered a suite for every game and has never missed, he told me for larger games like the Eagles or Packers, they would open the gates earlier and hire extra security, the cost of the extra security offset the incredible profit they would make but they knew as people got more sloshed they were for sure going to have fights...and they didn't care. So if you have kids or a wife don't go to more intense games with people who are hammered saying and doing stupid shit, especially at a place that has a jail on premises, that alone should be a harbinger. Raiders fans nearly offed someone a few years ago...over a football game

Guess it's just yhe times we live in. I've been a union Ironworker and Operating Engineer. So with construction I work with blatant racists, bigots, felons, you name it we got it.
Not one person on the jobs I've worked on would be employed if our social media was checked or things we said or political views were taken into account. As much as we are different we all work together, even with guys you know wouldn't like you outside of work.
Unfortunately we are breeding a culture who let's words affect them. I'm a huge beliver in sticks and stones and settling disputes in the parking lot. Thank God for rual American values!! Meatballs or whatever you wanna call it.
