And they lost to the Ravens (badly) and the Cowboys. And those were 2 of the teams that differentiated between 2nd place schedule and last place schedule. The other team in that differentiation was the Rams...and they lost to the Rams too.

Everyone in the NFC North played the AFC West and NFC South last year.

Basically, the different schedules amounts to 3 games - hence why I pointed out those 3 teams.

If the Lions continue to lose the 3 games that makes their schedule different, it stands to reason it will be harder to repeat winning the NFC North. Not saying they can't do it, just that the schedule is not getting easier for them.
pointing at schedules as factors is stupid, teams often unexpectably omprove, remember, Houston was considered a weak opponent entering last year and a couple other teams as well

Schwartz was worse, but Patricia was the worst of all as well as Morningway

One of you took the bait. The other didn’t. Not a surprise you didn’t. But the fish guy did.

I already won the argument, you seem confused. Show me some facts to back up your lame ass statement, I already provided mine.

Ok dumbass, if you are going to make an argument, at least get your facts straight,
The Lions beat the Rams...der duh.
They lost to the Cowboys by one point on a controversial call.
Oh, and they beat the Chiefs, you know, the team that WON the superbowl?

Show me the facts loser, put up or shut up?
You lost, until you can prove otherwise, deal with it.
Maybe you might want to post the rule book and get made to look a fool yet again?

I am waiting for the proof. Show me your facts. Any failure to do so is just more egg on your face, because you have no proof, just talking out of your ass.

Oh yeah, that was my bad - I glanced too quick. They lost to Seattle on the 2nd place schedule in the regular season. They beat the Rams in the playoffs.

So, both of us were not quite right.

And yes, they beat the Chiefs in the 1st game of the first game season. Personally, I doubt that would happen again, given the chance. But doesn't matter, they did.

The question is not whether or not the Lions had a great 2023 - they obviously did.

The question is: Can they repeat winning the NFC North? They literally have never done that before. It's damn hard to have sustained success in the NFL which why the teams that do it stand out.

This is what you said

"If the Lions continue to lose the 3 games that makes their schedule different, "

They lost to the Ravens And Cowboys. That is two, not three. They beat the Bucs....twice. They beat the Rams. They beat the Chiefs.
But thanks pointing out the Lions schedule last year was not as easy as you are trying to make it out to be.

And they did lose the 3 games that make the schedule different. I erroneously said it was the Rams in the first post. I corrected it that it was Seattle in the reply.

So yes, the Lions lost the 3 game that made it a 2nd place schedule last year: That was the Ravens, Cowboys, and the Seahawks.

And again, I was wrong about the Rams bit. I am talking regular season. They did not play the Rams in the regular season, they did beat them in the playoffs.

Sorry for the confusion.

So if they lose 3 games in 2024 they won't make the playoffs?

err...ok?

Oh FFS, that is not what I am saying.

I am simply pointing out that spotting 3 losses again likely makes it difficult to repeat as NFC North division champs.

I am not saying they can't do it, obviously they did last year. But it's a new year and it's generally difficult to repeat unless you have a truly dominant team and/or QB. And I think the Lions have a lot to prove on that front.

I think the entire NFC North has legit improved as a whole over last season, so it's going to be a slugfest for whoever wins it. The NFC itself is still on the weaker side, so I actually rather expect the NFCN to put a couple of teams into the playoffs again.

the bears have not caught up with the Lions, not even close

Huh, they dominated them for like 90% of both games last year. Did you go senile and forget? Dementia? Alzheimer's?

That was last season, they still dominated the lions with fields. I expect the same this season, bears have pretty much had the lions card the last 2 years. Caleb will shit on that team.

Goff always shits the bed vs. chicago.

Now look at every other game. He sucks in big games , cold weather, and versus the bears.

There is a reason the rams traded him old man, cause he's not good enough to win a big game. Definition of mid QB
