It has been said many times, but it would be funny if Aaron Rodgers was to follow Favre and end up in Minnesota.

And it would be even better if his career ended like Farve’s did with one of the Bears defenders standing over him while he lay motionless on the field.
With his pants down for the dick pic.

The Steelers have gone to Plan D

Sources: QB Rudolph headed for Steelers reunion
PITTSBURGH -- The Steelers agreed to a two-year deal with quarterback Mason Rudolph, bringing their 2018 third-round pick back into the fold after a season with the Tennessee Titans, sources confirmed to ESPN on Thursday.

Securing Rudolph while the Steelers await a decision from Aaron Rodgers gives their barren quarterback room a veteran option with starting experience. The Steelers also previously signed former Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson to a futures deal.
Oh please just tell A-Aron to **** all the way off.

So, if Russ signs with Cleveland, he won’t be promised the starting job like he was last season in Pittsburgh.

Pickett says he'll get a chance to start, is OK with Russell Wilson pursuit

The Cleveland Browns' quarterback situation remains unsettled with few starting options available in free agency, but new addition Kenny Pickett said he has been told he will get the chance to compete to be QB1 in 2025.

The Browns on Wednesday officially announced the trade for Pickett, the No. 20 overall pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2022 NFL draft, sending the Philadelphia Eagles a 2025 fifth-round pick and quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Pickett was promised only a “chance to compete” for the job.

He has no legit chance of winning it if they bring anyone else in.

The Fields to the Jets is a disaster waiting to happen. Another defensive coach and another incompetent organization with no history of great QB development. I will at least be curious to see what his chemistry is like with Garrett Wilson, but I don't have much hope that Fields will be anything more than a bridge QB for the next guy to take over a year from now, a la Mitch Trubisky with Pittsburgh.

It's actually kind of crazy how similar their career trajectories are with each other. Trubisky spent a year with BUF to backup Josh Allen, and then went to another team as the bridge guy to a rookie QB before fading into obscurity as a backup for the rest of his career. Fields is well on track to be on that same path.

He played with one competent Defensive HC and one completely incompetent Defensive HC. If Glenn is addicted to blowing games like Eberflus was - Fields won't be enough to overcome him. But if he's halfway decent - that team will be decent to good.

Fields will limit turnovers, they'll run the absolute shit out of the ball and he'll absolutely do enough to keep Wilson happy. If they draft a OL or Warren, that should seriously help their offense.

Darnold to apply lessons from disastrous '24 finish
sea.png

Sam Darnold was almost 14 minutes into his introductory news conference at Seattle Seahawks headquarters on Thursday when he got the question he knew was coming: What did he learn from the disappointing end to his resurgent season with the Minnesota Vikings?

"I was waiting for someone to bring that up," Darnold said while flanked on stage by coach Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. "I appreciate that.

"No, it's fair, man. You get all the way to that point, you have the season that we had offensively, as a team, and then you run into at the end of the day. Only one team can win the Super Bowl and unfortunately, we weren't that team."

Darnold and the Vikings appeared poised for a deep playoff run until the wheels of his Pro Bowl season started to come loose in Week 18, when he completed only 18 of 41 attempts in a 31-9 loss to the Detroit Lions. A week later, he was sacked nine times in a 27-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round. Darnold had thrown 35 touchdown passes over the first 16 games, only to throw one over the final two.

"I think being able to get the ball out a little bit quicker on some of the dropback stuff that we had those last couple games and understanding where the outlets are and even if a guy is covered, even if my back's covered on a checkdown, just throwing it at his feet," he said. "I feel like I was taking some unnecessary sacks last year, especially those last few games. ... I'll definitely be thinking about that, keeping two hands on the ball in the pocket at all times. Just doing all the little fundamental things, but that's a big one, is being able to just get the ball out on time."
