Thanks for repeating what I already wrote
Sorry, but I don't read every single post before responding, but ... great minds think alike?

That is not actually true. There is a limit to how much an UDFA can make, so he is screwed even there.
Like I said before, I would push for a 1 year contract. Then I would get my money after the 1st year.
If he can get a 1-year contract (not sure if possible for UDFA), it may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. He will hit free agency 3 years before everyone else. He will then make the big free agent money and will have a better chance of also getting the 2nd big free agent contract while he is still young.
Chances are good he's going to just wait and enter next years draft. Otherwise he has to sign as a UDFA and the CBA already has a set salary for UDFA's.
He would only get the rookie min deal 3 years for $1.5 mil with a $7000 signing bonus. (that was 2014's numbers so maybe slightly higher).
Compare that to Will Sutton who was our 3rd round pick last year. He got a $588k signing bonus and signed a 4 year $2.5 mil deal.
That is a huge difference. I think if this blows over next year and he looks good at next years combine, he could end up a late 1st or early 2nd round pic and then end up with at least $750k in signing bonus and over $1 mil more in salary than if he signed undrafted.
As long as you put it that waySorry, but I don't read every single post before responding, but ... great minds think alike?
So do lemmings....... great minds think alike?
I'm surprised no team threw a 7th round pick on him. At least that's keep him from picking his team.
There is zero chance he get to the supplemental draft. There are rules that have to happen for him to eligible for it and he did not meet them. The commissioner cannot change the rules either, his hands are tied. They would have to go through the whole collective bargaining agreement for the rules to be changed.
That is not going to happen for one unfortunate person.
If I were him, I would only sign a 1 year prove it (his innocence) deal, then get a new contract for close to what I am worth.
What would removing his name from the draft accomplished? Serious question. He would still be a UDFA either way, right?
Then he could have refused to sign and then he would be allowed into next years draft
