of course there's a chance, but I don't think he will, got it numbnuts? So what you're ssaying is there is a good chance the lions new OC/DC's can fail?

Like the 2024 Bears?Talent only gets you so far if your coaching sucks.
There have been plenty of examples of this in every sport

To be fair, both went to franchises that have done a whole lot of failing lately, but we shall see.I think its a lot more likely that the lions new OC/DC fall flat on their face than aaron glenn or ben johnson

Jamal Williams was a product of Johnson’s system and Lions OL. He was not a better back than Monty. Obviously St Brown is the top dog in that group but everyone else you listed did nothing that year. Bears really only need to improve their OL. Everything else they will be fine with. Although another solid RB would be nice.less weapons, but the nearly same OL with Zeitler being the only difference, and Jamal Williams was better than any of the bears running backs, and they also had St Brown, Hockenson, Chark, Raymond and Reynolds, so while not as good as the bears it was still a solid unit, so all you you have to do is get a decent running back a better TE, and replace 3 spots on your OL with 3 all pros and your good to go

True. I forgot about Ragow being injured. I don’t disagree and think the Bears could use an upgrade at RB but it’s not needed to have a successful offense. Kmet is just fine at TE. He will look much better in Johnson’s system. Obviously OL needs to be improved. Reality is the Bears are at least 2 solid OL from the chance at having a really good offense. Lions fans don’t want to admit that.Penis sewage was also terrible as a rookie and ragnow missed all the games that ben johnson called plays
Kinda crazy i know more about the lions than a "real" lions fan. maybe he has dementia and forgot?
so Sewel and Hockenson did nothing, spare me your bullshitJamal Williams was a product of Johnson’s system and Lions OL. He was not a better back than Monty. Talented players but I notice you did not mention Goff. Losing Johnson will hurt Goff more than any other offensive player on your team. Will Goff continue to put up regular season MVP type numbers with Morton or will he revert back to his 2021 numbers. Pre Johnson 3,245 yds with 19 td's. After Johnson was named OC 4,438 yds 29 td's.yeah they did, but Gibbs, St Brown, Williams, Sewell, and Hutchinson are still in Detroit, not to mention Branch, Joseph and Montgomery
From what Ben describes he sat down with Goff and they developed the offense together based on what Goff liked and what worked for him.Talented players but I notice you did not mention Goff. Johnson made Goff a better QB.......................Johnson will make Williams a better QB.
Lions lose their OC and DC will take a step or two back much like the Eagles with all their talent did in 2023.
You do know that Hockenson only had 26 receptions for 395 yds for the lions in 2022 or that Sewell's worst year as a pro was his rookie year inso Sewel and Hockenson did nothing, spare me your bullshit
Hockenson only played 10 games for the lions in 2022 and 26 for 395 is a 15.2 average per reception is pretty damn good, rookie or not Sewell still had a quality yearYou do know that Hockenson only had 26 receptions for 395 yds for the lions in 2022 or that Sewell's worst year as a pro was his rookie year in
2022.................Right?
Morton was a good hireyou seem to forget that Campbell either hired or kept on staff for promotion, Johnson and Glenn, and so far I'm happy with the replacements he has chosen, and most important the team is intact, so while you may have poached a couple of our coaches, your team still sucks, and not a lot good old Ben can do about that
Actually, I believe Hock played seven games for the lions that year before he was traded. Disagree on Sewell.Hockenson only played 10 games for the lions in 2022 and 26 for 395 is a 15.2 average per reception is pretty damn good, rookie or not Sewell still had a quality year
Johnson>>>>>>>>>>>over Morton as a play caller. Johnson has been the best play caller in the league the last three years.Morton was a good hire
Sewel did not have a good rookie year. Hockenson in 7games with the Lions had 26 catches for 395 yards and 3 TDs. He will probably go to the HOF with that type of performance.so Sewel and Hockenson did nothing, spare me your bullshit
Hmmm that must mean that Engstrand is gone for DET then?David Shaw to the Lions as passing game coordinator. Gotta think he is motivated after the Bears interviewed him twice then offered him nothing.
This guy is just a really good football coach. I wanted him here. Big W for the Lions.
