The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to a two-year, $75 million extension with quarterback Geno Smith, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The contract has incentives that could push the total to $85.5 million and includes $66.5 million in guaranteed money, the source said.

Smith, acquired by the Raiders in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks earlier this offseason, is now under contract with Las Vegas for the next three seasons.

The Raiders had said earlier this week at the NFL's annual meeting that they were working on an extension for Smith.

Las Vegas traded a 2025 third-round pick to the Seahawks for Smith, who had one year and $31 million left on the $75 million contract he signed with Seattle in 2023.

Smith, 34, threw for a career-high 4,320 yards last season, completing 70.4% of his pass attempts while throwing for 21 touchdowns with 15 interceptions. He has thrown for 19,143 yards with 105 touchdowns and 72 interceptions in 11 seasons.

This coach loves Justin Fields. For the first time in his short NFL career, it seems that Justin Fields finally has a HC and front office that’s willing to pay invest in him as a quarterback, and build an offense around him.

I now feel that I was wrong wanting Justin to stay in Pittsburgh because I thought it was his best chance at success. The posters that felt the Jets were the best spot for him, appear to be correct.

QB Joe Flacco, Browns reuniting on one-year deal, agent says​

The Cleveland Browns and veteran quarterback Joe Flacco have reached agreement on a one-year, $4 million contract, his agent, Joe Linta, told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.

The deal returns Flacco to Cleveland, where he won the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year award in 2023.

The contract can be worth up to $13 million with incentives. The Browns also announced an agreement with Flacco on Friday without disclosing terms.

Flacco also spoke with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings but opted to spend his 18th NFL season with the Browns. Co-owner Jimmy Haslam had told a group of local reporters at the NFL's annual meeting that Flacco remained an option for the team.

SEATTLE -- Backup quarterback Drew Lock is expected to sign with the Seahawks for a second stint with the team, a source confirmed to ESPN on Friday.

Lock is set to sign a two-year, $5 million contract, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Lock, 28, returns to Seattle after spending last season with the New York Giants. He spent the two seasons before that in Seattle backing up Geno Smith after being acquired from the Denver Broncos in the Russell Wilson trade in 2022.

Lock's return as a potential backup to newly acquired Sam Darnold brings into question Sam Howell's future with the Seahawks. Seattle acquired Howell via trade from the Washington Commanders in March 2024 after losing Lock in free agency. Howell struggled over the offseason and in a disastrous relief appearance in December.

The Seahawks have also been doing homework on quarterback prospects in this year's draft. Their list of 30 visits includes one with Louisville's Tyler Shough, a source told ESPN, while Bleacher Report reported they also have a visit lined up with Alabama's Jalen Milroe. Maye was the 3rd overall pick and looked good last year so I get why the Pats wanted to clear Milton out of there for Maye but in his limited time on the field, Milton showed rare tools and physical traits that make him an interesting high upside backup for the Cowboys.

The Saints learning that Carr's shoulder might be cooked for the upcoming season is good news for us given they pick 9th.

"I mean, it makes me sick, to be honest," Clark said. "Unless Omar, the general manager, Omar Khan of the Pittsburgh Steelers has some sort of promise or some sort of lean on Aaron Rodgers believing that he is going to come back and play football and if he does make that decision, he's going to be a Pittsburgh Steeler."

Clark doesn't like how the situation has played out, saying it's been mishandled.

The Steelers have seemingly boxed themselves into a corner waiting for Rodgers this offseason. They've already lost Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, who both went on to sign with the New York Giants and New York Jets, respectively, this offseason.

Outside of the draft, there is no clear solution to the quarterback situation in Pittsburgh aside from the four-time NFL MVP.

"I feel like this has been mishandled already," Clark said. "I feel like to be waiting, right, or to be held hostage by a former quarter – or a former quarterback of the New York Jets has actually never done anything for you. What has Aaron Rodgers done in the last two years or since leaving Green Bay that says he should be afforded this type of time that says that you should give them a sort of respect that keeps your franchise at bay?"

The former Steeler thinks it's time to speed up the process and give Rodgers a deadline, even if he believes his former team has mismanaged this situation already.

"When I think about this decision, to me it doesn't matter what happens going forward," Clark said. "I think it's been a bad play by the Pittsburgh Steelers already. And so I would give Aaron Rodgers a deadline and when I give him that deadline, it wouldn't lead me into next week. I would need to know if you're coming back to play or not this week.
