Disagree. If his parents, agent or coach thinks he might have a drinking problem, they get him help so you don't have to worry about it down the road...so coke doesn't ever feature....

Just hope it doesn't become a problem or an issue, because people (Season Ticket Holders especially) have put up their hard earned money to watch this team perform and the players on it. I don't care what anyone says, if it weren't for the fans, the NHL would only be the best mens league in the world and these guys wouldn't be getting paid shit. No fans= No league= No Salaries.



Again, to this point, it hasn't become a problem and I'm only speaking on hypothetical terms as if it had been a distraction.

You guys (sths) shell out certainly more money but I shell out 160.00 a year to get center ice to watch the hawks. Hell look at it this way, there is a chance you get to party with Pat Kane, that's gotta be kinda cool.

you missed my point. Those closest know whether or not he may have a problem and are certainly in a position to deal with it IF he does. Having never partied with him, I would not know of his "drinking performance."

First of all they never reported it as fact.... they were just throwing stuff out there and making inferences based on info they were given. Second of all IT"S FUCKING DEADSPIN. Thridly No, we don't close threads around her.





Now on top of all that, yes, he's just 22. And yes he's allowed to party. And yes this story is false. But for some people to sit here and say that it's ok for a kid who made a choice to signed to a multimillion dollar contract, and made the choice right then and there to grow up and act like a responsible person and not get so wasted that he misses work for the next two days... the fact that people are defending this is odd to say the least. If he wanted to stay a kid he could have made different decisions with his life. He's got the off season, he's got off days, but while the season is on, he's supposed to be a professional and act like it on behalf of the organization. That's part of what they pay him for. Players get money for the performance on the ice, and the marketability off the ice. But all of it was false like I figured in the beginning, so it's moot, and we can move on none.

I can honestly say, no matter how crazy of nights I have had, I've never ever called off work two days straight due to a hang over.
