David Stern Announces Cancellation of Season
After a meeting with the commissioner, it appears there was a misunderstanding. The season will finish as planned.
"Just embarrassing." "We let Stephen (bleeping) Jackson beat us." The 7-17 Pacers play Utah next.
This win is exactly what the Doctor ordered after the embarrassing defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Pacers defeated the Utah Jazz 51-39 behind Danny Granger's 16 points. Coach Vogel tried many different looks with his rotation, going small with a lineup of Nash, Hill, George, Granger, and Gibson. He also went big with a lineup of George, Granger, Gibson, Hansbrough, and Gasol. "I think its key to mix in the bench, and not go all out with them in or out." Vogel said after the game. The Pacers have the Los Angeles Lakers visiting next.
Danny Granger scored 29 points on 10-17 shooting from the field in a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe Bryant scored 23 points on 11-25 shooting. "It was great to score at an efficient clip tonight. We needed to make every possession count, and I felt that we did that." The Pacers shot 53% from the floor as a team. "It's a great feeling to beat the Lakers." Pau Gasol said. "Whenever a team gives up on you, and you're an elite player, it hurts. I'm glad I'm valued here, and hope to bring Indiana a title this season." Gasol scored 10 tonight. The 9-17 Pacers face New Jersey next at home on Friday night.
Hard to use Gasol when I'm running Nash Hill George Granger Gibson:kick::slap:You're not using Gasol enough.

Or else I've been running
George, Granger, Gibson, Hansbrough, and Gasol.

I like to feed Gasol, often times I get stuck with him taking 15 foot jumpers. Ick.Well whatever as long as you win...:talktohand:

Pau Gasol scored 23 points, and left little doubt tonight in who the better team was between the Nets and Pacers. "It felt great to get fed, I also benefited from a softer matchup in the post. It hurts when people call me soft, I hope I removed that label tonight." Gasol not only scored, he was efficient, and shot 71% from the field tonight, including 100% from the free throw line. The Pacers finish off their home stand with a game against the Detroit Pistons Monday night.
Pau Gasol Leads Pacers to Third Straight Victory
The Pacers are hot. They must have taken whatever Reggie Miller said to heart. The 11-17 Pacers beat Detroit 62-57 behind 54 points combined from Pau Gasol, Danny Granger, and Tyler Hansbrough. Gasol led scoring with 24 points. Granger scored 19 on 8-11 shooting, and Tyler Hansbrough scored a season high 12 in the Pacers win. "It feels great man" Hansbrough said after the win "It's nice to get some points, but most importantly, the team is winning because of our efforts, our efforts are not in vain. We're gonna take this momentum up north to Toronto with us, and come back to Indiana and knock off Cleveland once and for all." The Pacers play Toronto on the road Wednesday and come back to Indiana on Friday to face the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Steve Nash was efficient as usual in his return home to Canada. Nash scored 14 points on 6-7 shooting from the field and assisted on six baskets. "We're getting it now. For awhile, I was wondering if this would work. We'll out work anyone else in the NBA for this title." Steve Nash said passionately after the Pacers 62-45 dismantling of the Toronto Raptors. The next game for Indiana is against division rival Cleveland Friday night.
The Pacers won their sixth game in a row Friday night, defeating the Cavaliers 72-70 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. "It was great to win here at home. It's the least we could do for our fans who have stuck by us through the best of times and the worst of times." Danny Granger said. Paul George has been improving his offensive output, and scored nine points tonight "I'm beginning to look for my shot in the offense, to get mine. I guess I'm supposed to be the next Kobe Bryant. I can't be him, I will be better than him." George said with a smile after the game. The Pacers will remain home over the New Year holiday and face the Timberwolves for their first game of 2012.
