They probably did not, which is why they need to suspend him if he is not going to be playing.Hopefully for the Raiders they included some personal accountability and conduct clauses in AB’s contract. What a douche.

Chose Robinson over Brown as wellReal story is how i was LITERALLY this close to drafting but got Allen Robinson instead
Unless there was personal conduct policies in the contract, how can they void guaranteed money from a contract that was already signed. It seems that would lead to a lawsuit. Now Schefter is hearing that the Raiders may take it a step further by voiding Brown's guarantees, which "obviously would end his time in Oakland." Brown's deteriorating relationship with the Raiders and Mayock in particular may be beyond repair.
Failure to perform under the contract, or maybe rescinded for fraud (as in, negotiating in bad faith).Unless there was personal conduct policies in the contract, how can they void guaranteed money from a contract that was already signed. It seems that would lead to a lawsuit.
I think Brown is a terrible person and hope his career is over and he gets no money, but not sure how that works exactly. Also Gruden and the raiders deserve AB. Perfect match
I’ve heard conduct detrimental to the team is considered an invalidation of contract.Failure to perform under the contract, or maybe rescinded for fraud (as in, negotiating in bad faith).
It's been more than a decade since I have had to deal with a contract matter and I cannot speak to that, but it wouldn't shock me if that was thrown around in an arbitration meeting.I’ve heard conduct detrimental to the team is considered an invalidation of contract.
