and so is that fucking sick as machine of a team they have over there in philly.

The pitching is awesome, but the offense has a nasty habit of stagnating here and there. I think they're figuring it out though.

yeah they need 1 bat, I still admire them though, they are light years ahead of my team.

I really hope the Cubs don't sign Pena to $10M a year if they do resign him....

What makes you think he'll get less? He improved from 2010, he's going to be looking to get more.
I would be shocked if Jackson/Fielder got any less than 32 million combined. The difference by your numbers is 2 wins. So you are paying 7 million for 2 wins.

market value is about 4.5/win.

I figure Fielder is about 22 and Jackson is about 10, I don't see either getting much more than that.

Because he'll be signing a multi-year deal instead of a pillow contract. He should make less a year if he's getting a multi-year deal, but I don't know.

I could see a team paying $13M for Jackson. Teams always overpay for pitching.
