My favorite teams
Mike and Mitch had the same passer rating and almost the same win %. Glennon won 1 of 4 and Mitch won 1 extra (4 of 12) It was a negligible difference and Mitch had 2 of those against the Bengals and Browns. Glennon sucked but so did Mitch. It was just more fun watching him run around and getting reps. The entire year was a shit show with Mitch's scrambling being the biggest difference between them. But why wait if Fields give you the better chance to win? If he indeed walks circles around Dalton in camp, and Nagy still forces Dalton just because and they start...0-4, how does that help the team?
It's what is best for the team, not Dalton's ego. Unless Dalton wins the camp battle and passes the eye test, why wait on the rookie with the better talent?
Maybe you need to go back and rewatch the 4 Glennon games to address your question.
How did Mitch turn out? What an odd example of a QB not needing time, LOL.
