My favorite teams
Is trying and failing the same as not trying and failing?
Son, you tried and didn't suceed. The lesson is never try.

They could have easily afforded to acquire Kinsler or Fielder via trade.
Sign Jacoby Ellsbury for 3 years. Try.
"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying."
Well at least my ideas work at preventing 100 losses for the 2nd time in 3 seasons..................................
Youre ideas are unrealistic so they arent relevant. You cant say you think the Cubs shouldve given Ellsbry 3 years because there was no way Ellsbury would take anything less than six years.
Baez and alcantra gets Fielder no?

You're looking at this in a sense that the Cubs NEED Prince Fielder and will do anything to get him. The rangers gave them an All-Star 2nd Basemen, exactly what they were looking for. The Tigers would have no spot for Rizzo as the plan was move Cabrera back over to 1st and have Castellano come up and be the future at third base. He would have been a bench player earning over 40 million on their team. It was never a match between them, plain and simple. You would probably have to start with Castro and Baez, plus Alcantara, and Castro's trade value was in the toilet so he wasn't worth a lick. You couldb do rizzo edwards alcantra

Fielder could have been gotten as a fa. The trade was done to trim payroll

FIELDER wasn't a fa a few years ago?

Give up on fieder already... Cubs weren't going to give the guy 25 mil per for 10 yrs.. the plan was to break down and rebuild not give out big contracts.

So more circle-jerking between the people that can't handle the most losses in Cubs history and the people that think Epstein has done nothing wrong? Need to bother reading more of this shit?

It seems to me your implying that fans should be satisfied with that.
It seems to me that you want to rehash the same tired debate over and over again...
