First it was lebron, then it was Melo, now the new hard-on is for Dwight.

We are strong up front, we need a better wing scorer. Someone who can penetrate and create his own shot so other teams don't load up on Rose and the Bulls will be able to better spread the floor.

Never wanted Lebron(Wade was the guy i wanted, all Chicago backcourt) and yeah Lebron and them are gonna be together for a while, need to keep up.

a guy who can penetrate is DRose. Imagine DHoward in there, while hes penetrating. Boozer+Noah+Asik=1 Dhoward just an example of what DHoward does compared to our bigs. if it happens, most likely will be for Boozer or Noah, Asik, and maybe a F, some pics, ct, not both

And we trade away 18 fouls for a guy who can't be relied on down the stretch because he can't shoot free throws and will miss games because of all the techs he gets.

I like Howard, but I'm not sold on him. He does stupid shit on the court, like elbowing people on purpose and getting T'ed up for it. He blocks shots into the stands most of the time instead of trying to block it to a teammate for a fast break opportunity. He's got a fledgling post game that he is still working on, but if he's not dunking and in foul trouble, he's useless. Oh and don't forget he likes to injure people (Rose twice).

Don't get me wrong, he's a great player (a little overrated), but he is far from perfect and he will not be the solution that we need by himself.

noah, deng, and boozer are capable of 13+PPG scoring to complement rose...the issue is injuries and such...if you are looking for an offensive addition..i suggest a SG that can hit it from deep that complements korver...but also one that plays good defense and does a little more than shoot from deep...

This is probably what we will have to depend on, and I am fine with that! It all depends on what SG we can get. Its a young team, a new coach and they have ability to develop. Staying healthy will be important for the team chemistry going into the next seasons playoffs.

This is a bit off topic, but what is your take on Sam Smith?

This is what he had to say about a trade for Dwight Howard:

Sam: It is an annoying question in that it is the most popular for this offseason and absolutely not happening. How could LeBron not want to come to Chicago to play with Rose? How could Wade not want to come to Chicago to play with Rose and LeBron, which he could have? First of all, Orlando isn’t doing anything no matter that Howard might tell them until the new labor agreement, which most believe will cost free agents tens of millions of dollars to choose to leave. OK, say he wants to go and believes some sneaker company will make up the difference. This assumes he’d like to be in Chicago, which he’s never seemed to express any interest in and Orlando is going to take the players who couldn’t even get in the game in the fourth quarter for an MVP type? If you deal Howard, of course, you most want him out of the conference. But you could easily get Pau Gasol from the Lakers, probably Russell Westbrook, Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka from Oklahoma City, probably Orlando native Amar’e Stoudemire from the Knicks, probably Monta Ellis, David Lee and Dorell Wright from Golden State (watch out for Jerry West there as he’s very bold and got Shaq). Plus, the Magic owners are billionaires and committed to keeping Howard. The Arenas contract is lint to them. Howard could push his way out, of course, but my guess it’s not to come to Chicago to play straight man to the popular Derrick Rose.

Howard gets all those fouls because his PF is a SF. Simple as that.

Noah throws those same elbows. Usually it's the sneaky elbows from guys like Noah that cause Howard to react and get a technical foul. And the Magic aren't a fastbreak team anyway...

Rose got injured because he didn't know how to protect his body on the way down. Those were not dirty plays by Howard.

And if we trade Boozer, Deng, and Asik for Howard, we are trading away 3 below average free-throw shooters for one.

from Bulls.com, yeah, idk, people said Lebron wouldnt play second fiddle to anyone, still isnt i guess, Dwight has said nothing about wanting to leave. i dont agree with that, that he wouldnt come here, You dont wanna play with the MVP pointguard of the league? You a Center? his team didnt play defense and he got his way with the trades they made, Thibs is a D man. DRose and Dhoward already do ADIDAS commercials together, he should be dreaming of the $$$ hi and DRose can get.

I do agree that if I'm Orlando and I'm offered Westbrook and Ibaka...you take that...Bulls have nothing that measures up to that.

The Bulls don't have what it takes to trade for Howard.

Even a package of Deng, Boozer, and Noah wouldn't be enough IMO. That trade would handicap Orland from a salary perspective and you're getting two maxed out ability guys in Deng and Noah and a guy starting to slide a bit in Boozer. Orlando,if they wanted to trade Howard, could get a lot more as far as youth, talent, and financial flexibility, from quite a few other teams.

IMO the Bulls are fine in the post and matchup well enough with the East to not have to make a move there. We need a shooting guard badly. That's where we need to focus.

This is a dilemma that the Bulls really need to make a decision about. As it stands, realistically, the Bulls are going to be trying to fight off a team who has 1 (if not 2) players better than Rose. If the Bulls had Dwight Howard, they could have 2 of the best 5 or 6 players in the NBA into the foreseeable future.

I could understand why Gar/Pax wouldn't want to go down that road. The Bulls are seemingly one versatile SG away from being in a dogfight with Miami for years to come.

But the problem is that if the Bulls son't get Howard, surely a team like the Mavericks or Brooklyn Nets will. And the prospects of a Nowitzki/Dwight or a Deron/Dwight tandem is frightening to me as a Bulls' fan.

Howard to the Bulls is a pipe dream...can we please focus on getting a solid 2 guard?

Some people would say that Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, and scrubs for KG and the draft rights of Marc Gasol and Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol was a pipe dream as well.

If you want to have a championship team, you need to be at least somewhat bold and dream big. This is a superstars' league these days...

True, but the team that went out and acquired KG was not a team that won 62 games the previous season. You can dream big, but you also have to be realistic and think that the product that is being run out onto the floor has only one true hole--shooting guard. If Howard decides he wants to come to Chicago, let him come, but if it means destroying what could end up being a really great team for a defensive minded center (with a questionable offensive game), when only an offensive minded two guard is needed...it is just stupid.

the only thing questionable is his free throw shooting.

I still see the Lakers as a lead contender...if Howard goes anywhere...which I doubt he does

His free throw shooting is not the only thing wrong with his offensive game--he gets a bulk of his points off of rebounds, once he gets the ball in the block, he has the tendency to develop tunnel vision offensively and not hit the open man, which could be both a blessing and a burden to the team. Aside from that he is a great player. But if he were to play with Boozer, or even Gibson, he would have to be a much better passer in both the high and low posts.

Howard is a dunker with one post move which is a spin move. Howard is only hyped up because the center position is very poor this day in age. His offensive post game is not better then Noah's and not even close to Boozer's. Being able to out jump everybody doesn't help this team, because offensively, that's all that Howard brings to the table in my opinion.

Noah and Asik are pathetic scoring in the Post.Dwight Howard avg for the playoff was 27ppg,shooting 59% from the field,27 rebs and 1.8 blocks. How can you even attempt to compare Noah and Boozer who were both sitting on the been down the stretch, and Asik's 1pt and 2 rebs avg to D.Howard? Asik is 25 years old a 7ft tall, the rim is only 10ft if he can shoot by now he will always suck.In fact, most fans would tell you D. Howard is a flat out better player than D.Rose, though thats not the issue. He definitely plays his position a hell of a lot better than anyone on the Bulls including Rose.

A lot of fans are under the delusion that we are almost as good as the Heat,we lost 4-1.The Heat had 2 glaring weakness, center and point guard which happen to be our 2 biggest strengths yet will still lost 4 straight.

The Bulls need to bring in a major player, a good shooting guard would be nice, but that just means we have a good shooting guard, not that we have a championship team.If there is a player available good enough to get the Bulls over the top we'd all know because he'd be good enough to get almost any contender over the top.

OH,I forgot, his name is D. Howard!

Ah the sexy D Howard rumor...when we fail to get him who's next? Monta Ellis? Ben Gordon?

People need to realize that come July 1st there is no CBA. No team is going to trade or sign anyone. They simply can't. If anything happens, it happens on draft night, & even that is highly unlikely. And Howard is not going anywhere, atleast not this offseason.

We need a scoring-2 who can defend & my money is on getting Kevin Martin. He's wallowing away on a mediocre Rockets team that is going nowhere. After watching this entire season, it's apparent that Rose needs another ball handler who can create a shot for himself & his teammates. Martin is that guy & it's just up to GarPax to get him.
