I've been a customer for 12 years. This past winter, thanks to fucktarded Chicago drivers, our car got rear-ended 3 fucking times while my wife was driving to work and THEN, when we rented a car while our car was in the shop, THAT got hit while parked.

Now Progressive is sending me a nonrenewal notice because we filed 4 claims in one year.

Insurance.... "Pay your bill and keep paying it and when you need our services we will do all we can to not provide them to you or provide as little back to you as we possibly can and when we do provide our services we will charge you more money to cover the additional risk that you pose according to our educated guess"

State Farm wanted to drop me like a bad habit after two claims in one year despite the major claim being in an accident I was not at fault for that Allstate paid for. The second claim was for some dipshit that backed up onto my front bumper cracking the grill and scratching the paint. Insurance companies in the US suck balls. All across the board.

You know whats worse? That fresh paint job and grill didn't even last a week. Another asshole with a tow hitch backed up onto it again. Alas the damage remains to this day. I have not had it fixed yet since its going to be out of pocket.

I've hears they're ranked as near the worst for insurance companies.

.... and people are content to have health care run under this principle :smh:

Maybe Progressive thinks you are injury prone?

3 times at once? Did the guy back up and ram her over and over? Seriously though, I don't think it will be any better anywhere else. I have Farmers, so far I haven't had to use them so I'm paying for nothing.. but insurance companies have one of the biggest rackets. It's illegal to not have insurance, but they don't have to honor their side at all. You basically have no assurance that the insurance will cover anything, despite paying 1000+ a year for their services.

So they dropped you despite not having to pay anything out? Or were the accidents hit and runs or something?

Because we didn't witness the rental car getting hit, we had to pay. One of the people who hit her was some undocumented who had some scam bullshit insurance, so we paid that and they are 'investigating' or 'subrogating' or whatever the **** but ultimately the onus would be on us to take the other insurance company to small claims court. Other 2 times, nope, no pay

That really sucks. Truly seems like a case of "oh we're doing what you're paying us to do? we quit"

I have progressive and will probably keep them because they've consistently been the cheapest for me... I'll just have to hope for some good luck too.

For what its worth State Farm did honor any claim I have ever made. It was just when I had two claims that were months apart that I got a warning from my agent that I was likely to get dropped if I had another claim within a certain time frame. That time frame has come and gone and *knock on wood* no need for claims since then.

Although we do insure 5 or 6 vehicles through them so I suppose that is another reason why they have honored the claims so far.

see, that's what really pisses me off. I even asked the claims rep twice if I should maybe not file in case it jeopardized our policy or raised our premium and they were like NO PROBLEM!

Progressive lowered my premium every year I didn't file a claim which I thought was great. Then we consolidated to one car and my wife has to commute far as **** and they are blackballing us

I had SF for like 25 years when living in Chicago..When I moved here, naturally, I went with SF..For some reason, they kept raising my homeowners insurance to the point where I couldnt afford it. We never made 1 claim.. I finally went with another company ( Farm Bureau of NC) that cut my premiums in half..I dont know wtf happened with SF. I tried calling the agent, but he would never return my calls

cute. it's pretty cut and dried: 4 claims in one year and you're gone (even if you aren't at fault). I understand you want to side with them just to be an asshole.

What a dickhead. I would like to hear their justification.
