yes, cago, no more redneck chrome aka duct tape for us, we file claims and get our car repaired after accidents, with progressive's promise that they will extract payment from the at-fault party, until they don't, and then come after us, when we're no longer customers.

Well I was driving and came to a stop.... He was driving behind me.... And did not.... Stop. He says the brakes slipped but I think he was on the phone like he always is.

we found a pro bono (unless we win) lawyer via one of our fb friends! if needed, but it reinforces my faith in the human spirit, and encourages me to be a better person

I have progressive but I don't drive drunk.. well, i drive sober more often than drunk. So there's that. Should i consider switching or do you bros think I'm safe?

porgressive lowered our premium automatically every year we didn't have an accident. Then we had 4 last year, 1 while parked at a grocery store, and 2 of which weren't our faults, but they dropped us because we filed 4 claims within a year. So, I can't say another insurance agency is better, but, ****. we weren't abusing the system.

Yeah, its a shame that you either have to not report a claim, or risk getting dropped for not doing anything wrong. Accidents happen, 4 claims in a year might seem high but what about all the years of driving while not filing a single claim? It's bullshit.

All insurance policies (at least this was the case when I lived in Illinios) charge you extra for what's called underinsured motorist. I would look into that and ask why that is not kicking in, you're paying for it.

I was driving home from christmas and the tread peeled of a semi tire on the highway and busted my windshield.

I called progressive. Of course the repair was less than my deductible. But I wanted them to get after the other guy's insurance to reimburse me. They were like no, you need to get the driver's insurance information and contact them yourself. I'm like wtf do I know about going after an insurance company? Wtf do I pay you for?

Yeah.... if it aint coming out of their pocket they will give zero fucks.

If it had been more than your deductible they would have gladly of gone after his insurance to pay for it.... but if its just coming out of your pocket why would they give a **** about you? Just cause you are a loyal customer.... nahhhhhhhhh

Insurance comapnies are like governments.... you pay them so they can tell you to **** off.

They were extremely helpful, although I had to charge their battery packs before we went on our separate ways.

BC&BS story

My wife had to be hospitalized recently..The hospital doesn't have semi-private rooms. Only private rooms

The Hospital billed BC&BS for a private room. BC&BS sent us our EOB sheet which said,," we don't pay for private rooms, however we will pay the amt. specified in our contract with the hospital for a semi private room"...Normally because of that contract, the hospital accepts the specified amount plus our 10% co-pay for any services rendered..

The hospital now wants us to pay the entire difference between the semi-private room (which BC&BS paid for) and the total cost of a private room, even though there are no semi private rooms in the place, and we were not given a choice.

We appealed to BC&BS stating the obvious..The hospital should only be charging us the 10% co-pay on the specified amt that BC&BS is required to pay for a room.

BC&BS denied the appeal but said.."we have never heard of a hospital passing the difference on to the patient. They usually accept the co-pay and move on, however your dispute lies with the hospital as we have no influence in the matter"..Thats bullshit cause they have a contract with the hospital to accept the negotiated amount for services rendered..

We have refused to pay the difference to the hospital and the last communication we got was from the hospital saying they are turning it over to collections..


Ya cant win I tell ya.
