Adam Dunn believes he will be a Nat next year as he wants to stay a Nat and the Nats still want him. They're expected to talk again after the World Series in the 2 week period where they can still talk and be the only ones to talk to Dunn.
Jim Hendry is expected to interview Bob Brenly right after the season comes to an end.
Koyie Hill and Welington Castillo will finish out the last 13 games as the catching duo. But, if one can't go, the Cubs will call-up catcher Robinson Chirinos.
The Sun-times reports, Mike Quade "looks like a favorite to land the full-time Cubs managing job with every new Midas-touch move he pulls off." Not liking that.
Tom Gorzelanny and Jeff Samardzija are out of options and can't be sent down come next year. Expect rumors of Gorzo to pick up again. While, Jeff had a NTC and don't expect him to be traded this winter. Who give him a NTC???? Oh...that's right JH. He could not be with the Cubs next year, if he does not make the team out of ST.
The Dodgers and Ted Lilly will talk about a new contract when the season comes to an end. The Dodgers will like to "retain" his services and Lilly is open to it. I expect them to figure out a contract before he hits the FA market.
Tyler Colvin is doing well and he had to say this "I want to thank Cubs fans for their support all season, especially right now, and let everyone know that I'm doing OK. I also want to thank everyone who has helped take care of me here in Miami, the Cubs and Marlins training and medical staffs, the EMTs at the ballpark and everyone here at the hospital.
You never want to have a season end early, and I'm disappointed that I'm not going to be able to make it through the finish line with the rest of my teammates. That being said, I couldn't be more thankful for the Cubs organization, my teammates and the opportunity to play for Cubs fans my rookie season. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Also, Soto's 1 hour procedure went well and he should be ready for spring training.
That's it for now....thoughts?
