Nah...I get it.

Kind of how I felt after seeing Jackie Brown.

Nice to see Pam Grier getting a good payday, but otherwise a wholely uninteresting affair.

Jackie Brown is unwatchable to me. So dull, even the supposedly masterful climax in the mall was unengaging for me in every way.

I think westerns and kung fu are right in his wheelhouse and where his schtick works the best. I am ambiguous about the upcoming flick as it seems more of a return to Pulp Fiction/Jackie Brown territory.

I do agree with you and Rory Reservoir Dogs was his tightest, most focused and effective film out of all.

I saw Jackie Brown in the theater and the most memorable part was (SPOILER) the entire theater giving a standing ovation to DeNiro shooting Fonda in the parking lot.

The trailer for his upcoming film looks like Tarantino doing Cameron Crowe, but I could be way off base there.

I thought Jackie Brown was his best movie. He is better at characters than story lines. I was a huge Chang Cheh, and Hong Kong 70s movie fan, and I find films like Kill Bill completely unwatchable.

He is a middling film maker, imo.

To each their own.

I was just geeked to see Gordon Liu on the big screen since I always saw him exclusively on UHF television growing up.

All opinion. I don't consider myself to be "right" on this. But it's an opinion I probably can't be talked out of.

Honestly, I truly don't remember you ever making a post about the Bears. You certainly posted in that forum, but I can't recall you ever making a point in there.
